Given the necessary equipment, tools, materials, supplies and information the candidate is expected to
perform the following three projects.

Assessment place: Well equipped computer Lab

Total time allotted: 3:00 hours

Project 1 - Connecting hardware peripherals and Operate a personal computer

This project should be required to evaluate the candidates on connecting hardware peripherals and
operate personal computer, customise your desktop Icon, To create folder.

Competencies covered:

ICT ITS1 01 0811 Connect Hardware Peripherals

ICT ITS1 06 0811 Operate Personal Computer

Time allocated 1hr

Task 1- connect hardware peripherals and operate personal computer

Task 1.1 – connect the peripheral provides (mouse, system unit, keyboard, mouse, printer, ups, VGA,
etc)

Task 1.2. – customize your desktop Icon, after customizing your desktop, cancel my computer from your
desktop.

• My computer

• My document

• My network place

• Control panel

Task 1.3 – create a folder name “Hellen” on the desktop.

Task 1.4_Delete the folder named “Hellen” and restore it from recycle bin.

Task 1.5 – change Task bar location of your computer to the top of the screen.
Task 1.6 – using Microsoft power point add sound from sound clip organization and save it on the
folder name “music” on my document.

Task1. 7 – Copy the folder you create “music” to the Local C:\

Task .2 connect the computer to the internet

Task 2.1 Connect the internet to the broad band internet sources provided.

Task 2.2 Browse those web sites using internet
