I. COURESE DESCRIPTION:

This course discusses from a historical perspective the nature and the role of science and technology in society, and the socio-cultural and political-economic factors
affecting the development of science and technology.

II. COURSE OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:

1. Gain knowledge on the role of Science and Technology in Society;

2. Implement the strategies for the improvement of Science and Technology Education in relation to development;

3. Apply the research finding for the development of Science and Technology in Society; and

4. Appreciate the cooperation of agencies in the development of Science and technology education.
