1.01 INSTALLATION
1.01.01 Security Client / request code
Installing Security Client
NOTICE
The Security Client must be installed, otherwise WIDOS set-up cannot be car-
ried out.
NOTICE
The contents of the data fields (Address 1,2,3,4,5,email) must be compara-
ble with the matrices shown below, otherwise the authorization code cannot be
requested.
NOTE
The fields marked with an asterisk " * " must be filled in.

Graphics errors / blank If the user is a (direct/indirect) member of the local user or main user group,
window graphics errors or blank windows may occur.
For this reason these groups should be granted write permission to the
installation directory on the local system.
If you still cannot open the file, the registry value is not valid.
Prior to any change in the registry, the respective data should be exported!
The following registry value should be entered for Adobe Reader / Acro-
bat:
Not possible to print PDFs Adobe Reader X (10) is only supported by WIDOS releases 004/2011 and
higher.

Error message 418 This message is often displayed after the WIDOS expiry date has been
reached.
Before and after the message has been generated, you can extend the
expiry date only by installing a newer version.
If you regularly install new versions, this should not happen.
Unattended installation If necessary, installation can also be performed leaving the process unat-
tended.
Only administrators are recommended to use this function.
We recommend to test it thoroughly before using it.
This function can be used by single users (setup.exe) and in a network
(setup_client.exe).
Enter "setup.exe /s /m=<control file>".

1.02 STARTING
1.02.01 Starting WIDOS
Start WIDOS with a double click on the program symbol.
Open Wirtgen Group product divisions by mouse click (e.g. "Wirtgen cold
recycling machines").

Before continuing you have to close the photo.

Delivery address / address for shipment (product consignee)
Click "Address" button
New:
Click on "New" (data entry fields are displayed in white). Enter address,
other order-related data and Wirtgen group client number; if Wirtgen group
client number is not available, leave field empty. Click on "New" button to
save entered address data (data entry fields are displayed in grey).
Change:
Select the relevant address using the arrow keys "< / >" or using "Search".
Click on "Change" (data entry fields are displayed in white). Change address
data. Confirm changed addresses using the "Change" button (data entry
fields are displayed in grey).
Delete:
Select the relevant address using the arrow keys "< / >" or using "Search".
Click on "Delete" and delete the address.
Search:
Click on "Search" (data entry fields are displayed in white). Search address
with a parameter of own choice.
Accept:
Select the relevant address using the arrow keys "<-- / -->" or using
"Search". Click on "Accept" button to include a selected address in the
address matrix.
Cancel:
Cancel edit procedure by pressing "Cancel".

Click on "Search" (data entry fields are displayed in white). Search address

Select the relevant address using the arrow keys "<-- / -->" or using
"Search". Click on "Accept" button to include a selected address in the
address matrix.
Cancel:
Cancel edit procedure by pressing "Cancel".
After accepting the selected addresses, the address matrix will be displayed
again.
Click on "OK" button to include the selected addresses in the "PARTS
ORDER" form.
Order data
Click on the "Order data" button.
Order number:
Enter order-specific number of own choice under which the order is to be
processed.
Remarks:
Enter any additional remarks relating to the order.
Order method:
Select and confirm required order method (see addition).
Shipment method:
Select and confirm required shipment method (see addition).
Delivery date:
Enter delivery date.
Responsible person /
addresses
New:
Click on "New" (data entry fields are displayed in white). Enter address and
other related data with number of own choice. Click on "New" button to save
entered address data (data entry fields are displayed in grey).
Change:
Select the relevant address using the arrow keys "< / >" or using "Search".
Click on "Change" (data entry fields are displayed in white). Change address
data. Confirm changed addresses using the "Change" button (data entry
fields are displayed in grey).
Delete:
Select the relevant address using the arrow keys "< / >" or using "Search".
Click on "Delete" and delete the address.
Search:
Click on "Search" (data entry fields are displayed in white). Search address
Accept:
Select the relevant address using the arrow keys "<-- / -->" or using
"Search". Click on "Accept" button to include a selected address in the
address matrix.
Cancel:
Cancel edit procedure by pressing "Cancel".
Order method
Click on "Order method" button.
OK:
Save all existing order methods in the order data matrix by clicking on "OK".
Cancel:
Cancel edit procedure by pressing "Cancel".
Edit:
Click on required order method and alter / modify in selected matrix.
Add:
Enter new order method in the list.
Delete:
Click on selected order method to delete.
Shipment method
Click on "Shipment method" button.
OK:
Save all existing shipment methods in the order data matrix by clicking on
"OK".
Cancel:
Cancel edit procedure by pressing "Cancel".
Edit:
Click on required shipment method and edit / modify in selected matrix.
Add:
Enter new shipment method in the list.
Delete:
Click on selected shipment method to delete.
A selection matrix containing the machine's valid spare parts catalogues will
be displayed.
Select the required spare parts catalogue with a mouse click (e.g. #
114078).
NOTE
It is possible to click on the spare part in the exploded drawing or in the parts
list. In both cases, the selected component will be automatically included in the
order form.
The order form matrix with the required spare parts is displayed.
NOTICE
A customer address must be included in the addresses matrix, otherwise
WIDOS will not accept the order.
NOTICE
The delivery address is not required in the addresses matrix if it is identical to
the customer address.
NOTE
Please refer to the section "Master data management" on how to create / edit /
search user master data such as addresses etc.
Enter order data (refer to section "Master data management - order data /
responsible person / addresses").

A section of the respective hydraulic plan with its parts list will be displayed.
If you wish to print out the selected section of the hydraulic diagram, click on
the "Print" button.
Click on the spare parts number (e.g. hydraulic pump # 112624) to see in
which assembly groups of the spare parts catalogue this item is included.
NOTE
Click on the respective assembly group in order to see the section of the spare
parts catalogue.
When marking an item with the cursor on the exploded drawing, the item will
also be highlighted with a black background in the parts list. When marking an
item with the cursor in the parts list, the item will also be highlighted with a black
background on the drawing.
The parts list can be applied to order hydraulic components as spare parts.
