2. Describe yourself and your family using negative sentences. You can use contractions.

Use different adjectives and occupations from the example.


E.g., I’m not an engineer and I am not 18 years old. I’m not tall, but my brother and sister
are not short. My mom and dad aren’t teachers, and they are not 50 years old. My family
and I aren’t from Italy.

I am not a student and I am not 22 years old. I am not tall, but my brother and
sister are not giants. My mom and dad are not sleepyheads and they are not 10
years old. My family and I are not from Bogota. My uncles are not grumpy. My best
friend is not a rebel. I do not write this.

SPEAKING PRACTICE

1. Do a presentation about a person you like or admire following these instructions:

Make slides, infographics, or a poster to illustrate your ideas.


Use the verb to be in your presentation.
Write five affirmative sentences and five negative sentences in your presentation.
