BRIEF REPORT OF BUILD-O-QUIZ EVENT

The objective of this event is to test the basic knowledge of technical terms in
Civil Engineering knowledge among the students.

The Civil Engineering Association (CEA) and the department of Civil

Engineering, SVCE successfully conducted an online inter-college
connection event, LINKATHRON on 21st May 2021 for the
B.E/DIPLOMA Civil Engineering students. Mr.Vijay P, ( Senior
Executive Member, CEA ) Of III year and Mr.Laleeth Kumar D, ( Junior
Executive Member, CEA ) of II year were the coordinators for this event.

Mr.Laleeth Kumar D of II year of Civil Engg. was the host for this event.
Students from various colleges had participated. The event began at 12:30
pm by welcoming the participants and the rules and regulations were
explained. Participants participated with two members per team

Three rounds were conducted. In the first round participants were asked 15
questions and were asked to answer each question within 45 seconds. They
were asked to answer the answers in the google forms provided .Each
question was given 10 points. While answering the students should fill the
answer in the google form such that First letter is in capital. The top eight
teams will qualify to next round.
In the second round 10 questions were given and was asked to answer in 1
minute in the same way. From this round top five teams got into the last
round .
In the last round 5 questions were given, each of 1 minute time. The first
who ! mark first will be given priority to answer. In this round there was a
tie between two teams for runner up place , so was given bonus question in
which a word should be found with the picture given .This question has no
time limit to answer. After competing in all the rounds, the following
Students occupied the positions:

The students enthusiastically participated and showcased their brilliance

by rapidly answering the questions. Though some of the questions were
very tricky, the students tried to answer them with confidence. They found
this competition very informative and knowledge enriching.
