ESHET EILON – Company profile
Eshet Eilon was founded in 1935 by Kibbutz Eilon and in 2003 it moved to private
ownership. The factory's main expertise is design and manufacturing of agricultural
equipment. In the last 30 years the factory's highlights were designing and manufacturing of
complete sorting and packing lines for fresh fruits and vegetables.
Eshet Eilon is the only one in Israel manufacturing complete equipment for packinghouses
including electro-optic sorting and packing lines and various automatic equipments.
The factory supplies today more than 50% of the packinghouses' equipment in Israel and
exports to more than 30 counties worldwide. Except the packinghouses market, Eshet Eilon
manufactures unique solutions for the ministry of defense and for the various industries
especially in the field of the automatic palletizing. The design and manufacturing is fully
done in the factory and each and every customer gets his tailor made equipment adapted to
his requirements, needs and budget.
Eshet Elion's equipment is suitable for conventional fruits such as citrus, stone fruits,
avocado and mango, vegetables like peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and melons and roots
like potatoes and carrot. Not like other manufacturers, Eshet Eilon chose to expertise in the
field of irregular fruits such as pineapples, dates, garlic and mini peppers.
Eshet Eilon sees packinghouses as food plants which require high sanitation standards.
Therefore, the complete line is manufactured in stainless steel.
Eshet Eilon is the oldest manufacturer in Israel and with the largest experience in the
treatment of fresh produce of fruits and vegetables starting with various receiving
equipment (bins, boxes etc), various automation equipments, washing systems, brushing
and cleaning machines, cold and hot drying and the heart of the equipment – the electro-
optic sizers. These sizers perform accurate sorting with high speed and per parameters of
weight, diameter, color and external quality.
Eshet Eilon's sizers are designed for the various produce and its demands and can sort with
the accuracy of 1 gram for dates and other small fruits, stone fruits, cucumbers, water
melons, fresh pineapple etc.
Various filling system complete the above sorting and packing lines and also controlled
conveyors and advanced automatic palletizers.
Eshet Eilon can supply the best solutions to the small grower with the limited budget and
also to the large packinghouse which deals with large quantities of produce and needs the
most advanced equipment (maximal automation and optic systems for quality sorting) and
personnel costs saving.
Eshet Eilon's R&D staff, together with the Volcani centers scientists of the Ministry of
agricalture of Israel, are working now on the design and building of revolutionary solutions,
unique in the world, for:
1. Green, patented, sanitation systems for a wide range of fresh food products, such as-
eggs, sesame, pineapple, medical cannabis, sweet potatoes, chickens, dates and
much more.
2. NIR systems for non-distractive detecting of internal qualities in high volume sorting,
such as-
- Brix and acidity in pineapples and mangos
- Brix and firmness of apples
- TSS in sweet potatoes
- Oil content in acocado
And much more.
3. Optical automatic sorting of chicks gender.
Eshet Eilon employs about 60 workers, most of them manufacturing and engineering staff,
all of them living in the north of Israel and coming from the various communities such as:
new comers, people who arrived to Israel many years ago, Muslims, Christians and Jews,
Kibbutz residents, country and city residents, all working in pride and harmony,
manufacturing and exporting high quality, advanced equipment.
