                                    INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
                                                   CAUTION!
                 ATTEMPTS TO OPERATE THE MARINE PROPULSION EQUIPMENT WITHOUT PROPERLY
               INSPECTING, SERVICING, AND CONNECTING ALL EQUIPMENT AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, MAY
                                 RESULT IN SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
                                                   CAUTION!
               WHEN SHIPPED, THE THRUSTER AND HYDRAULIC POWER UNIT WERE FILLED WITH CLEAN
                HYDRAULIC OIL. OIL TIGHT SHIPPING CAPS AND PLUGS HAVE BEEN PROVIDED ON THE
                                                 EQUIPMENT.
                DO NOT REMOVE THESE CAPS AND PLUGS UNTIL IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO CONNECTING
                 THE HYDRAULIC HOSES OF THE VESSEL PIPING SYSTEM. TAKE EVERY PRECAUTION
                 POSSIBLE TO PREVENT DIRT FROM ENTERING THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. HYDRAULIC
                PUMPS AND MOTORS ARE NOT TOLERANT TO DIRT. ANY SMALL DIRT PARTICLES SUCH
               AS SAND, WELDING SLAG ETC. WILL DAMAGE THE EQUIPMENT IN A VERY SHORT PERIOD
                                                 OF TIME.
I.     GENERAL
       Installation of the thruster should be in accordance with the Thrustmaster drawings found in Section 7,
       Technical Drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
II.    HPU ENCLOSURE
       The hydraulic power unit is custom built for this application. Mounting to vessel deck shall be provided by
       others and may be accomplished by bolting or welding.
       Connect the interconnecting hosing from HPU to the mini-skid thruster outdrive unit in accordance with
       the hydraulic schematic which may be found in Section 7, Technical Drawings and BOM.
III.   ELECTRICAL DEVICES
       Connect electrical devices in accordance with the electrical schematic which may be found in Section 7,
       Technical Drawings and BOM.

IV.   MINI-SKID THRUSTER OUTDRIVE UNIT
      The OD-N mini-skid outdrive unit is designed for bolting to mounting rails. The mounting rails are to be
      provided by others. Refer to the outline drawing of the OD-N outdrive unit located in the Section 7,
      Technical Drawings and BOM for installation dimensions. Use Grade 8 bolts and nuts for mounting to
      vessel deck.
                                                  CAUTION!
                   USE ONLY GRADE 8 BOLTS TO MOUNT THE OUTDRIVE UNIT TO THE MOUNTING
                                                RAILS.
      Connect the interconnecting hosing from the HPU to the mini-skid thruster outdrive unit in accordance
      with the hydraulic schematic and hosing and piping diagram located in Section 7, Technical Drawings and
      BOM.
