Run-time for Windows1
STEP 1 Install NI LabVIEW™ Run-time Engine 2014
The Quanser Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) Toolkit® Run-time supports either 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft Windows® 7 and
Windows® 8. Unless you already have the full version of LabVIEW 2014, download and install the NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine
2014 (32-bit) from the National Instruments website at: http://www.ni.com/download/labview-run-time-engine-2014/4887/en/
Note: only the 32-bit version of LabVIEW is supported (it can be installed on either a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows platform).
STEP 2 Download Quanser Rapid Control Prototyping Toolkit Run-time
1. Download the RCP Toolkit Run-Time from the Quanser website at http://www.quanser.com/RCPRuntime
2. Unzip (extract) the contents of the downloaded file.
STEP 3 Install Quanser Rapid Control Prototyping Toolkit Run-time
A Uninstall any previous version of the Quanser Rapid
Control Prototyping (RCP) Toolkit Run-time that may
be present on the computer. Do so by launching the
Programs and Features dialog from the Windows
Control Panel.
1. Unzip (extract) the contents of the downloaded file,
if you have not done so.
2. Run setup.exe from the files that were downloaded.
3. The Quanser Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP)
Toolkit Run-time installation screen should appear.
C 1. Click on Next to start the RCP Toolkit Run-time
installation process.
2. Follow the steps of the installation wizard.

On the Setup Type installation screen,
choose Complete
E If during the installation, a Windows Security dialog
appears asking Would you like to install this device
software?, check the Always trust software from
Quanser Consulting Inc checkbox and click on the
Install button.
Note: If a Windows can’t verify the publisher of this
driver software dialog appears, click on the Install
this driver software anyway option.
Once the installation is complete, click on Finish to
close the RCP Toolkit Run-time installation screen.
