INTRODUCTION

Con Arch India was founded in the year 2000 in Mumbai, as a Consulting
Engineering Company. As our developing country ‘INDIA’ entered into rapid
industrialization and development phase, technical competence,
enthusiasm and diligence, combined into a single concentrated effort
become the basic need for all companies. With this need and prime aim to
transform the Clients Dreams to Destiny with perfection and highest
degree of satisfaction to them, enlargement of the services provided by the
company become possible and in the year 2004, international projects was
also a part of this company for design and detailing. Con Arch India is also
one of the leading firm in design of space frames, skylights, dome,
pyramid, glass facade, atrium and similar structure.

With ever increasing demand, Con Arch India was expanded in Northern
India as well, in the Pink City, Jaipur to cater for the structural solutions in
the region under the banner of PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANTS.

With passage of time and noticing the development of post tensioning in

the region, GIFFORD POST TENSIONING, (GPT) was established with
experienced professionals of having more than 15 years of experience in
the field of Post Tensioning in Middle East.

In this region almost all of the projects are being done with post tensioning
technology, and the trend is picking up in India as well. With its vast
benefits for the architects (interested in large column free spans),
structural engineers (interested in lighter structures), clients (interested in
economic projects) this technology will be dominant in near future.

Foundations, Post Tensioned - Beams, Transfer Beams, Large Span beams

THE TEAM
Eng. Asrar Ahmed Zamindar (M.E. Structures) is a qualified Structural
Engineer having experience of Structural Designing of more than 20 Years.
He has expertise in Post Tension Design, worked in DUBAI & QATAR as
Structural Engineer. He is responsible for the Northern Region and handles
the Post Tensioning Division.

Eng. Asrar Ahmed Jatoo (M.E. Structures) have experience of 20 years as

structural design engineer. Within these years he has undertaken a wide
variety of residential, commercial, industrial projects and software parks, in
different location of country and also beyond the country.

STRUCTURAL DESIGN & VALUE ENGINEERING

A specialized area catering towards developing structural design solutions
for all types of buildings. Structural Analysis and Design of all types of
structures, using the most advanced and contemporary software.
Structural concepts developed include a variety of Steel, Concrete and
composite construction systems. Our designs are sensitive to architectural
goals that result in distinctive and timeless structures.

STRUCTURAL AUDITING
The general health & performance of a building depends on its quality of
maintenance. As a building grows old, ageing, use (or misuse) an exposure
to the environment can affect the health of the building significantly.
Therefore, it is advisable to monitor it periodically by taking a professional
opinion. Structural Audit is a preliminary technical survey of a building to
assess its general health as a civil engineering structure. It is usually
initiated as the first step for repair. This is similar to periodic health
checkup recommended for old people.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY (PMC)

Provide services in Project Management, Quantity Survey (QS) and
Engineering. We have gained in-depth knowledge and understanding of the
unique aspects and requirements of both developers and owner operators.
Strategic planning involves carefully dividing the project into manageable
stages. Monitoring each stage to optimize time, budgets, efficiency,

POST TENSION DESIGN & SERVICES
Post tension design for all types of slabs including Raft foundations, void
former slabs with intention of reducing self weight of concrete by
introducing voids, post tension transfer beams. Site execution for post
tension activities. Post tension material and equipment supply is also
provided.

POST TENSIONING

POST TENSIONING, in a simple explanation is a method of strengthening

the concrete with the use of high strength steel wires known as TENDONS.
These tendons can be placed (in multiple numbers) within the conduits
known as DUCTS which are later GROUTED, and this type of post
tensioning is known as BONDED POST TENSIONING.

On the other hand, the TENDON can be placed individually without the
DUCT and can be greased or encapsulated and this type of post tensioning
is called UNBONDED POST TENSIONING.

Post Tensioning is a division of prestressing, wherein the forces (stressing)

is applied after concreting. If the stressing is done before concreting it is
termed as PRETENSIONING.

PENETRATIONS/CUT OUTS IN COMPLETED PT SLAB : -

The belief that no openings or cut outs can be carried out in PT slab is a
myth. Especially in bonded PT slabs, if appropriate strengthening measures
are taken up the required cut outs or shafts (air wells) can be carried out
in the concreted PT slabs. GPT has the expertise to evaluate and suggest
the strengthening required and supervise the modifications at site as well.
In certain situations if it is required the cut the PT tendons the same can be
done along with required strengthening works being taken. In unbonded PT
slabs the same can be carried out but without affecting the tendons.
