Hydrophilic finish of synthetic fibers and their blends with cellulose fibers
USES
Hydrophilic finishing of various textile fibers
Characteristics Benefits
• Imparts excellent soft and smooth handle • Provides an extremely soft bulky handle
• Excellent shear force stability • High mechanical stability
• Low thermo-migration on disperse dyed • Crocking and washing fastness of
polyester articles disperse dyed polyester articles is well
maintained.
• Compatibility with most finishing additives • Broad application possibilities
• Compatible with most optical brighteners • One bath application with FWA is possible
• Negligible impairment of the degree • Allows production of fabrics and garments
of whiteness, virtually no yellowing with a high whiteness and minimal shade
even when exposed to high temperatures change on colored fabrics
• Improves the hydrophilic properties • Maintains fabric comfort by complementing
the fabric inherent moisture transportation
properties
• Reduced risk of needle damage to fabric
• Improves the sewability
and hole formation during garment making

If combined with cellulose cross-linking agents, the details described in the respective technical
data sheets are valid.
II. Exhaust process
Required amount
0.5–3.0 % ULTRATEX® UHS
Application
pH 5–5.5 (adjusted with acetic acid 60 %)
Liquor ration 5:1–20:1
20–30 min at 30–40 °C
Drop liquor, hydro-extract and dry without rinsing
NOTES
Although ULTRATEX® UHS provides a negligible influence on the thermomigration of disperse
dyed polyester articles maintaining the washing and crocking fastness on a high level, pre-trials
are necessary in order to check the behavior of fabrics to be finished.
Spray application (not product specific)
After many years of analysis of epidemiological studies, we suspect that aerosols are generated
through the spraying technique that potentially may be hazardous to health.
For this reason, spray application can only be safely conducted if sufficient ventilation equipment
is installed at the product application site which will prevent spreading of the aerosols into the
workplace. A further possibility would be to carry out the spraying application in a closed system.

ATTENTION
Our technical data sheets provide directions for the application possibilities of our products. Any
influence on dyes, prints and their fastness properties, degree of whiteness, fabric properties, handle,
non-slip, seam resistance and material strength, ageing resistance, odor of finished fabric etc. are
under the user’s own responsibility. Due to the many different textile variations we are not able to
submit a general recommendation. Our recommendations are in line with our present state of
knowledge and do not provide any guarantee. Therefore, initial internal bulk trials are absolutely
necessary. The manufacturer is not liable for damages due to improper application or application
against our explicit recommendations.
Statutory provisions and standard regulations must be observed when handling processing agents.
For additional detailed information please refer to the product specific safety data sheet.
