*Positive Effects Brought by the K-pop into Teenagers Students of Tabaco
National High School
Background Study:
K-pop is a genre of popular music originating in South Korea while the
modern K-pop can be traced back to the early 90s, the term itself has been popular
since the 2000s, replacing the term GAYO, which also refers to domestic pop music
in South Korea. Although it generally indicates “popular music” within South Korea,
the term is often used in narrower sense to describe a modern from around the world
such as experimental rock, jazz, gospel, RGB, Hip hop, reggae, electronic dance, folk,
country and electrical on top of its traditional Korean music roots.
K-pop is one of the most trend to us teenagers. There are lots of K-pop
groups that we adore. They influence Teenage through their songs. Many K-pop fan
were fascinated about K- idols, especially now, their popularity is not only in Korean
but worlds wide. K-pop groups invaded the mind, the soul and the hearts of K-pop
fans. Even in their young age they’re been influenced by K-pop even though they
can’t understand the meaning of the song. They keep on singing it. K-pop also
influences teenage through their dancing many fans was fascinated by how their
favorite K-group danced so they try to learn it themselves by practicing and watching
tutorials about the choreography and steps of the dance. Many of K-idols also appear
on tv that’s why it became ore hit teenage woman nowadays is so dreamy and they
often dream about having their perfect man K-pop fans also imitates the look of their
favorite group, the outfit of K-pop has been adopted by most of the teenage K-pop
fan.
Most of all, K-pop influenced people with their music followed by their
amazing choreography, visuals, and miserable attitudes, and behaviors, fashions,
styles and more. Teenagers that has been influenced by K-pop often become friendly,
confident, open-minded and becomes more inspired and had more goals in life that
wanted to achieve in the future. We are sure not all teenager had been influenced by
K-pop but there’s still a lot of K-pop fans that knows how to handle and not to put
themselves at the point that many affects their lives. You may think that K-pop is just
for girls well it is not there are also boys who idolize K-pop but there are more female
teenagers who likes K-pop has now even spread outside of Korea Thanks to the to the
internet. People all over the world now enjoy K-pop, even though they don’t
necessarily understand the worlds. K-pop has formed many lifelong friendships.
K-pop has positive influenced to the teenagers because K-pop teaches the
teenagers to develop their hidden talent. They are inspiring the youth for them to
boast their confidence in terms of talent and fashion. There is nothing wrong about
idolizing Koreans and copying their fashion because it makes us better persons. And
because you are inspired by them, you are more creative doing your passion.
Sometimes passion really helps you as a youth because your time are worth it than to
do useless things. K-pop has a big impact on each K-pop fan not just for social media
purposes but also for personal and academic purposes.

Scope and Delimitation:


The purpose of this study is to enhance the abilities or skills and talents of
the teenagers who got addicted to K-pop. And our study focuses on the students that
are avid fan of K-pop in Tabaco National High School.
This study aimed to analyze the positive impact of idolizing K-pop to
teenager students of Tabaco National High School from January to April 2020.
Currently in Tabaco National High School there are many students who are
valid fan of K-pop. This study will make us understand the goodness and positivity
brought by idolizing K-pop. We will sight reasons why these students admire K-pop.
The researcher will conduct a survey and interview to know the good effects
of idolizing K-pop in the life of grade 12 students in Tabaco National High School.

Significance of the Study:


Conducting this study will benefit primary and secondary beneficiary
where in they would know the positive effects of idolizing K-pop will help them
inspired themselves and others who has no confidence to know their hidden talents
both K-pop and non-K-pop.
*Students (non- K-pop fan). This study explains to them why K-pop is dominating to
people all over the world. And to influence them to be a fan to idolize K-pop group.
This study also makes non-K-pop fan fully understand that there is nothing to be a K-
pop fan.
*Parents (of the K-pop fan). This study will explain why their children are addicted to
K-pop and it will make them understand the positivity brought by idolizing K-pop
improve their children.
*Teacher (of the K-pop fan). The study will explain how students improve their
academic performance by idolizing K-pop. It will show that a student whom is a valid
fan a K-pop confident, participating during in class.

Effect of new Hallyu Influence of K-pop consumption on Chinese attitude
toward Korean and Hallyu as K-pop has gained its popularity all over the world. The
Result indicated that gender, duration of watching Korean TV drama, the evaluation
of Korean TV dramas, duration of listening K-pop and evaluation of K-pop are strong
predictors influencing attitude toward Korea among Chinese people. On the other
hand, in relation to Hallyu, demographic factors are not appeared as the predictors,
however duration of Korea TV dramas and evaluation of K-pop has been shown to
influence the attitude toward Hallyu in a positive way.

This research is aimed to explain the influence of K-pop to the habit of
students through quantitative methods. Nowadays, the globalization has brought a lot
of impact in life and create world into borderless. In due to the borderless, it makes a
lot of things could come to country easily such as cultures. One of the cultures are K-
pop which is brought from South Korean tradition. Currently, K-pop got the attention
from the citizen around the world including Indonesia. And students in Indonesia
mostly they like K-pop. Because of K-pop. It has changed student’s behavior such as

popular culture in East Asia with Japan as a center the purpose of this study is to
examine the attitude of Japanese youths who consumes K-pop on the subject of their
feelings towards fieldwork in Tokyo, this study aims to answer the question is the
consumption of Korean popular culture by Japanese youths affects their perception of
Korean and Korean society, the way it affects it and what are the main factors
producing action with the cautions remark of little scope of the generalizing. The
findings conclude that the constant consumption of Korean popular culture products
indeed affects the perception of Japanese youths regarding South Korea in a positive
