                  PREFACE
This project report is prepared for the study project
done at BHARAT SANCHAR NIGAM LIMITED
(BSNL).The topic of the project is
“MARKETING RESEARCH AND SALES
PROMOTIONAL ANALYSIS IN BSNL with special
reference to BROADBAND & 3G SERVICES”. This
project is about the system and working style of
BSNL. Its purpose is to present, as clearly and
completely as possible, the innovative features
incorporated by BSNL and consumer response. This
is basic outline of BSNL system therefore it is also
producing their features and other characteristics.
There is also such important concept and includes
important information of these study
The organisation shall make all possible efforts to
have a secure and safe domain.
The data/information is very important and most
critical to the business requirements ; therefore all
topics are taken care with full of right information
and with recollect the number and figures and
format too.
I made it very carefully especially to bear in mind
the management concept.

                      RESEARCH
          METHODOLOGY
RESEARCH     DESIGN :
“ A research design is the arrangement of conditions for
collection and analysis of data in manner that aims to
combine relevance to the research purpose with economy
in procedure”.
In fact, the research design is the conceptual structure
within which research is conducts; it constitutes the
blueprint for collection, measurement and analysis of data.
This design includes an outline of what the researcher
have to do from writing the hypothesis and its operational
implications to the final analysis of data. Design decision
happen to be respective of below detail :
i. This is the study about BSNL, to know the efficiency of
organization and to know the special feature offered by
BSNL.
ii. A main objective of this study is to know the customer
preference towards the special feature incorporate by BSNL.
iii. In this study there is primary data and secondary data both
are required.
iv. I have collected primary data from the BSNL subscriber
of Patna city directly through questionnaire.
v. Secondary data have beencollected with the help of BSNL
branch office of the city and also internet will be provided
very important data for this study
vi. In primary data collection, data has been collected
through
techniques of questionnaire and with the help of personal
interview in the interview method.
vii. This collected data have been analysed through
processing operations of the data (editing, coding,
classification, tabulation,) after this data have calculated in
the percentage to show the form of pie chart to identify
clear result of data.
DATA       COLLECTION: ~
Primary data and secondary data both are the important
terms to be exercised during any research report to get
the desired result with effectiveness and efficiency. In this
project both types of data are collected and analysed.
These data are collected through the specific method called
it ‘Data collection method’. First of all I have collected the
secondary data from the sources and then after I have
collected primary data to get the fresh and live information
from the customer to find out real result of my study.
Method of primary data:
1. Questionnaire
To collect the primary data I have followed the method or
technique of data collection through questionnaire. First I
have prepared one questionnaire related to my study which
can provide all essential information to find out conclusion.
2. Interview method
In interview method I had some personal interviews to
collect
other important or relevant information which have proved
helpful    to analysis of data. I had asked certain question
or query to note clear point of view of customer and their
opinion about this study.
Method of secondary data:
First I had collected secondary data from the BSNL branch
office of the city. This worked as main source of secondary
data of study. Internet is the main source of secondary
data in today’s time so I get there also .I have gone
through various governmental websites concerning telecom
sector significancing changes in it to find out the right
information.These data helped in analysis of primary data
and also helpful to respondent to fill up the good
questionnaire.
