Visual inspection – Inspect the monitor and accessories for obvious signs of damage.
Visual inspection – Check the external cables, power socket and power cable.
Power-on test – Check if the power indicator lights up.
Power-on test – Check if the alarm indicators flicker and if the alarm tone is heard.
Power-on test – Check if some images and characters are missing.
Power-on test – Check if there are bright spots and dark shadows on the LCD screen.
Power-on test – Check if the waveforms, fonts and symbols displayed on the LCD screen are normal.
Key test – Check if the keys work properly. When pressing a key, check that a corresponding functional
display is seen onscreen.
Recording test – Check if the recorder can perform recording without problem.
Recording test – Check if all the recorded traces are correct and clear on the paper.
Alarm test – Check if the audible and visible alarms work properly.
ECG functional test – Check the displayed HR value against the simulator configuration. The value should
be 30 bpm ±1 bpm or ±1% (whichever is greater).
SpO2 functional test – Check the displayed SpO2 value against the simulator configuration. The value
should be 70% ±2%.
NIBP functional test – (Systolic pressure=255 mmHg) Check the displayed values against the simulator
configuration. A tolerance of ±8 mmHg is reasonable. 247 – 263
NIBP functional test – (Diastolic pressure=195 mmHg) Check the displayed values against the simulator
configuration. A tolerance of ±8 mmHg is reasonable. 187 – 203
NIBP functional test – (Mean pressure=215 mmHg) Check the displayed values against the simulator
configuration. A tolerance of ±8 mmHg is reasonable. 207 – 223
Perform the NIBP leakage test.
NIBP accuracy test - Check the displayed values on the monitor against the manometer configuration. A
tolerance of ±3 mmHg is reasonable.
NIBP calibration – Check the displayed values on the monitor against the manometer configuration. A
tolerance of ±3 mmHg is reasonable.
TEMP accuracy test – Check that the displayed value is 37 °C ±0.1 °C.
CO2 functional test – Check if the CO2 measurement waveforms are available on the monitor. Check
that the displayed CO2 concentration is (34~40) mmHg.
IBP functional test – Perform a dynamic pressure test. (RADIALART 120/80) Check that the tolerances for
the measurement value provided by the monitor are ±4 mmHg or ±4%.
Calibrate the temperature module.
Check ECG synchronization of the monitor and defibrillator.
