represent reliable protection for the attached consumers.

Please read through this manual very carefully

This manual contains regulations covering safety, installation and operating methods which will help you guarantee to obtain the full
performance und operational readiness which the manual bypass can offer.

Put this manual in a place of safe keeping

It contains important regulations for safe use of these manual bypasses and for reaching manufacturer services if, for some reason,
correct operation of the manual bypass is in doubt.

Keep or reuse the packaging material

The packaging material for the manual bypass was designed with great care to protect its contents against damage during transport.
This material is also useful if you ever have to send the manual bypass back for checking. Damage which occurs during transport is not
covered by the warranty provisions.

Duty to instruct persons

This operating manual is to be read through carefully before assembly and first use of the manual bypass by persons who will be
working with or on the manual bypass.
This operating manual is an integral part of the manual bypass. The operator of this device is required to make this operating manual

2. Descriptions

2.1 Manual Bypass JOVYTEC P 700 - 3000

The external manual bypass consists of an additional wall housing with a special changeover switch. This
change over switch offers the possibility to switch over without an interruption and reverse voltage on the ups
– system. It allows a direct main supply to the attached critical load. The wall housing is fitted with terminals
for connecting up the mains power supply, the consumers and the UPS unit. A built-in yellow indicator lamp
shows whether the manual bypass is active. The cable guide in the wall housing takes place from below
through the screwed cable glands installed for that purpose. The connection cables can be ordered as an
option.

The manual bypass is suitable for wall mounting!

The manual bypass allows the UPS unit to be completely disconnected from the mains power supply
network. Neither the input mains nor the consumers have any connection to the UPS. Maintenance work and
service work can now be conducted on the unit itself.

P L E A S E N OT E!
If the UPS needs to be unclipped and replaced by another device then open ends
of cables must be insulated for accident prevention purposes.
For a battery change ensure that the UPS unit was set to manual bypass via the
display panel.

change over switch offers the possibility to switch over without an interruption and reverse voltage on the ups
– system. It allows a direct main supply to the attached critical load. The housing is fitted with terminals for
connecting up the mains power supply, the consumers and the UPS unit. A built-in yellow indicator lamp
shows whether the manual bypass is active. The connection cables must be secured by pull reliefs, which
are already installed. The connection cables can be ordered as an option.
