ye-fa-a-ru-cha selah. Or chadash al Tzion tair, v’nizkey chulanu m’heirah l’oro. Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai
yo-tzeir ha-me-o-rot.
Praised are You, our Eternal God, Ruler of the universe, who makes light and creates darkness, who ordains
peace and fashions all things. With compassion You give light to the earth and all who dwell there; with
goodness You renew the work of creation continually, day by day. How manifold are Your works, Adonai; in
wisdom You have made them all; the earth is full of Your creations. Let all bless You, our Eternal God, for the
excellence of Your handiwork, and for the glowing stars that You have made: let them glorify You forever.
Shine a new light upon Zion, that we all may swiftly merit its radiance. We praise You, Adonai, Creator of
light.
