Remove 13.5 L Engine
1.
RXA0120449-UN: Battery Ground Cable
RXA0120450-UN: Radiator Drain
LEGEND:
A - Ground Cable
B - Starter Wiring
C - Radiator Drain
Disconnect battery ground cable (A).
2. Disconnect starter wiring (B).
3. Drain coolant from radiator drain (C) and block.

CAUTION:
Hood is heavy. Use care with hood to prevent personal injury.
NOTE:
Hood may be raised to service position or removed from tractor. (See Position Hood Forward or Remove
and Install Hood in Section 80, Group 05.)
Raise hood to service position.

Remove left-hand side shield and fingerguard (A).
6. Remove charge air pipe (B).
7. Remove accessory drive belt (C).
8. Disconnect fuel supply hose.
9. Remove alternator (D) and tie to outside left-hand frame.
10. Remove air conditioning compressor (E) without disconnecting lines and tie to outside left-hand frame.
11. Remove fan belt (F) and position fan (G) forward in shroud.

Remove control unit cover (A).
13. Disconnect chassis wiring connector (B) from engine control unit.

Remove right-hand side shield and fingerguard (A).

15. Disconnect upper and lower radiator hoses (B and C).
16. Remove charge air intake pipe (D).
17. Remove fan driven assembly (E). (See Remove and Install VARI-COOL™ Fan Driven Assembly—13.5 L Engine in Section
30, Group 15).
18. Remove heater lines (F).

LEGEND:
A - Deaeration Tank
B - Hoses
C - Line Support
D - Cap Screws (4 used)
Label and disconnect hoses (B) from deaeration tank (A) and front connections.
20. Remove cap screws (D) and line support (C).

C - Torsional Drive Damper
Remove shield (A)
22. Disconnect torsional drive damper (C) from flywheel using JDG820 Flywheel Rotation Tool to gain access to cap screws (B).
23. Pry torsional drive damper rearward.

25. Remove flange clamps (B) and remove exhaust pipe (C).

Disconnect Sensor (A).
27. Remove cap screws (B).
28. Remove flange clamp (C) and hose clamp (D).

Remove cap screws (A) and oil tube (B).

Engine is heavy. Use ONLY recommended engine removal equipment to remove engine to prevent
personal injury.
IMPORTANT:
Use grade 10.9 cap screws for lift strap installation.
Cap screws are one time use only.
NOTE:
JDG11325P1 and JDG11325P2 are part of JDG11325 Rear Lifting Bracket .

For tractors equipped with IT4 Engines, perform the following:
Install JDG11325P1 Rear Lifting Bracket (A) to cylinder head using M12 x 35 mm cap screws (B). Tighten to
specification.

Install JDG11325P2 Rear Lifting Bracket (C) using M12 cap screws (D). Tighten to specification.

Install JDG11324 Front Lifting Bracket (E) to front of cylinder head using M12 cap screws (F). Tighten cap screws to
specification.

personal injury.

Install JDG10199 Rear Engine Lift Bracket (A) on cylinder head using two M12 x 35 mm cap screws. Tighten cap

Install and adjust JT07336 Lift Sling (C) and support engine.

A - Front Mount-to-Frame Cap Screw
B - Front Mount-to-Engine Cap Screw
C - Rear Mount-to-Frame Cap Screw
Remove front mount cap screws (A).
37. Loosen cap screws (B) for reassembly purposes.
38. Remove rear mount cap screws (C).
39. Carefully raise engine and rotate front of engine to left.
40. Remove engine from right-hand side of tractor.
