Fire Emergency Evacuation Plan (FEEP)

-A written document which includes the action to be taken by all staff in the event of fire
relevant information in relation to FEEP and the arrangements for calling the fire brigade.

-Can include any

Components:

1. Fire evacuation strategy


-The fire evacuation strategy that can be applied is to provide an early warning through
ringing the bell or buzzer. Also, inform the students ahead of time what to do and where
to go during the fire event.

2. Action on discovering a fire


-The action on discovering a fire is through calling the attention of the teachers on how to
deal with the adverse event made by fire appropriately without causing any casualties.

3. Action on hearing the fire alarm


-The action on hearing the fire alarm will be a notification on identifying the location of
the fire exit and knowing the suggested are a planned by the experts’ o assembles. The
fire exit is located at the second floor of the main building adjacent to Kelvin’s room.

4. Calling the fire brigade


-Contact the fire department hotline no. 09066586272 for immediate response. Dial the
hotline number of the fire department any time there is a treat to life or property,
including fire. It is important to call them quickly because the situation can get worse so
fast.

5. Power/Process of isolation
-Use the power isolation procedures for isolating a problem in the power system. When
there’s a fire, turn of everything and remove and do not open or service any power supply
assembly to avoid electrical problem.

6. Identification of key escape routes


-Fire can spread rapidly through our rooms. It’s important to know where to escape
safely. If your room is on the 1 st floor of the main building you can use the main gate to
escape from the fire. And if you room is on the 2 nd floor use the fire exit of the main
building adjacent to Kelvin’s room.

7. Fire Marshalls
-Fire marshals/fire department main duty is to prevent fires. Fire marshals have their
daily responsibilities to make sure the working environment is safe in case of a fire. In
the event of an emergency it is time for the fire marshal to take charge.

8. Places of assembly and roll call


-Upon hearing the signal the class should leave the classroom immediately. On leaving
the classrooms, students should be trained to line up 25 meters from buildings. Students
should move in an orderly manner towards the assembly point and line up in the
prescribed manner. They can go to the open areas like quadrangle, mini stage or in the
church yard. Roll call will be carried out at this assembly point.

9. Fire fighting equipment provided


-Students of SFES every year participating in mandated fire drills. There are fire fighting
equipment provided like fire alarms that are the first response system for fire safety in
school and alerting students, visitors, and faculty members of a fire or potential
emergency. Fire extinguisher can helped to successfully put out a fire before it got out of
control.

10. Training required


-The fire department in Upi is conducting an earthquake and fire drill here in our school.
Moreover, students are taught about the things to be done when there’s a fire and what to
do when there are injured or unconscious persons. The training on fire management is
usually at the main building. Aside from that the main building have fire extinguisher.

11. Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan


-Every student is oriented what to do where there is a fire. That’s why it is expected that
each student should remain calm because if they do the opposite thing it might endanger
them. When the main building is covered with smoke, roll down and crawl to the nearest
fire exit.
12. Liaison with emergency practices
-The person-in-charged with the emergency practices should ensure that everyone is
ready for any fire occurrences. Each classroom should have an emergency number of fire
brigade posted on the wall. Classroom should also have first-aid kit.
