IC-BA 201: Event Management 2

Unit 1: Introduction to Event Management

Activity.
1. Summarize the key experience of any mega event that you have attended.

➢ The most remarkable event I’ve attended were those that were a collaborative
effort between two organizations; the Amparo youth organization and the Ichon
parish organization, focused on a particular topic, and held outside of either
organization’s home base. They also had exceptional programming or break-out
work sessions, were planned collaboratively among the organizing parties
involved so all organization members were participating and representing their
members likes, dislikes, and interest. They also offered great food and fun
entertainment. This event attracted a caliber of attendees interested in both
networking and benefitting from the program. They also came to have a good
time. With these common goals and put them in an educational, yet fun
atmosphere, you have the recipe for an outstanding or mega event.

2. Discuss the important features of private events with examples.

➢ The important features of private event are that they aiming to bring people
together so we can celebrate a more achievements, milestone or life event.
Example of private events are weddings, family events and many more.
