Lesson 7. Personal Relationships
What’s In
1. Ana is a clever student who enjoys visiting her classmates and leading group work
activities. She also cultivates fair and healthy relationships with her classmates, and
she was voted class president at their school. Ana, on the other hand, will no longer
be constructive with her peers, but she is a sweet daughter who values her family
and is content with her existence.
2. Ana's relationships at school, home, and in the neighborhood are all classified as
healthy personal relationships since she is loved and returns them. Many people
admire Ana because she is cooperative and responsible.
3. Ana is a popular and lovable person because she is kind-hearted, intelligent, pretty,
sweet, fun to be around, sociable, responsible, cooperative in school and at home,
lovely sibling and daughter.
4. If you maintain healthy personal relationships with your peers, parents, and siblings
you will be secure and loved. Maintaining healthy personal relationships will help you
resolve any conflict as a team and enjoy each other's company.
5. Healthy relationships are built based on equality, trust, and mutual respect, in which
both parties respect one other's ideas and boundaries. In unhealthy relationships, on
the other hand, one person has power and influence over the other. They could be
envious or possessive of you, and they won't respect your boundaries.

What is it
1. A personal relationship, in my opinion, is broad and differs from person to person.
While some may see it as unique, others may see it as a level of emotional intimacy.
The personal relationship does not last forever; they evolve and alter over time.
They have some advantages in circumstances where we need skills, information,
inspiration, practice, or social support.
2. Enjoyable, respectful, and providing opportunities for many positive experiences that
affect self-esteem are some of the main features of a healthy relationship that
emerged from the selection.
3. Healthy relationships take time to build and must be maintained. Your relationship
will be healthier if you put more positive effort into it.

My Personal Plan

 Pay attention when someone

is speaking.
 Don't take over the
conversation; instead, give
others a chance to speak.
 Ask questions that generate
more than a yes or no
response, such as about the
other person's interests, and
then listen carefully and ask
follow-up questions about what
they've said.
 Be kind

Lesson 8. Social Relationship in Middle and Late Adolescence

What’s New
1. My relationship with my family is far from perfect, yet it is still the finest I have ever
had. In our connections with our families, miscommunications, disputes, and other
challenges will surely develop. However, this should not prohibit us from having a
good relationship with them. When there are misunderstandings and disagreements,
strong communication is critical for resolving issues and getting our family back on
track. Being close to our family does not always mean that we are on good terms or
that we are without flaws. A family bond will always have its flaws. It's about how,
despite our differences, we can come together as a family and work things out.
2. When I want to learn more about my students, I first try to find an opportunity to chat
with them, and then I think of themes that we can both relate to. We enjoy games,
music, movies, sports, and other hobbies, for example. And if I get into a quarrel with
one of my friends, the first thing I do is try to figure out what's wrong and how to fix it.
I don't talk to them until I've figured out how to solve the problem because I believe
that doing so will only add to the fire.
What is it
1. A growth spurt in height, pubic and underarm hair growth, and skin changes are all
common in both males and girls (e.g., pimples). Boys' facial hair grows thicker and
their voices become deeper. Girls begin to develop their breasts and menstruate.

2. Quality relationships produce positive results and outcomes. If you treat others with
love, honesty, trust, and respect, they will treat you the same way, and your
environment will be serene and cheerful. If you work together harmoniously, your
results will most likely be successful. To complete goals and tasks more
successfully, it is important to practice having a good relationship at home and work.

3. The partnership will be more fruitful if both participants in the relationship show
empathy for one another. They will mature as they develop a greater understanding
of their partners, and the more they learn about them, the better they will be able to
direct their efforts toward productivity.
What’s More
Adolescents mature socially faster as they progress from high school to college, and
new lessons are acquired about how their social interactions reinforce their self-identity,
boost their self-esteem, and develop their ability to foster relationships. Adolescents'
well-being is influenced by their friendships and familial circumstances. ... Poor social
relationships can harm a person's physical health, habits, and adolescent development,
as well as increased alcohol use, substance abuse, delinquent behaviors, and mortality
risk.

1. My family is my strength, wealth, and happiness. Because they care about me, my
family and I will be united till the end no matter what happens. They gave me the
ability to love and to be loved.
2. My parents have always taken care of me by providing me with necessities rather
than wants, but this is not always the case; there are instances when parents must
provide their children with what they wish. My parents, on the other hand, are
seeking to teach me that in this world, we must occasionally acquire necessities
rather than desires.
3. He is a hardworking man who is willing to make sacrifices and do whatever to meet
our daily requirements, and he is the one who has helped me cope better and
become reconciled to regular life. He is my father, and I am proud of him.

Family Members Roles In The Family
Father Protects the family, as well as the one who works.
Mother Takes care of the children and cleans the house.
Brother/s Protects smaller siblings while assisting the father.
Sister/s Helps mum with housework and looks after her younger siblings.
You The joker in the family
What is it
1. The traditional family structure is the nuclear family. This family is made up of two
parents and their children. Society has long regarded the nuclear family as the
optimal environment in which to raise children. Children in nuclear families benefit
from the two-parent system, which provides strength and stability, as well as
additional options due to the financial convenience of two parents. A single-parent
family is made up of one or more parents who are raising one or more children on
their own. Typically, a single-parent family consists of a mother and her children,
though single males do exist. Single-parent households are typically close and find
ways to tackle problems jointly, such as dividing household duties.

2. An extended family is a family that includes parents, such as father and mother, and
their children, as well as aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins, who all live in the
same house. The stem and joint families are two examples of specific forms.
Grandparents and extended family members play an important role in providing
extra support to children when their parents have to work, care for siblings, or simply
need a break. This can range from sharing childcare responsibilities to just providing
assistance and guidance.
What’s More
I learned that everyone's behavior reflects the type of family they come from. It asserts
that we do not have distinct values once we are born; instead, our values are shaped by
our circumstances, which we may accept or observe, and which form us into the people
we are today.
What I Have Learned

Parents - by spending quality time with them.

Significant others in the family - by sharing and discovering new things with them.

Siblings - by discussing your thoughts and feelings with him or her regularly.

Peers and classmates - by engaging in a stimulating discussion with them.

What I Can Do
