2 PART B “Policy Schedule” means the policy schedule and any endorsements
attached to and forming part of the Policy and if any updated Schedule is

C. Section 45 – Policy shall not be called in question on the ground
of mis-statement after three years

Section 45 of the Insurance Act, 1938, as amended by Insurance Laws
(Amendment) Act, 2015 are as follows:

03. Fraud means any of the following acts committed by Life Assured or
by his agent, with the intent to deceive the insurer or to induce the
insurer to issue a life Insurance Policy:
a. The suggestion, as a fact of that which is not true and which the
Life Assured does not believe to be true;
b. The active concealment of a fact by the Life Assured having
knowledge or belief of the fact;
c. Any other act fitted to deceive; and
d. Any such act or omission as the law specifically declares to be
fraudulent.
04. Mere silence is not fraud unless, depending on circumstances of the
case, it is the duty of the Life Assured or his agent keeping silence to
speak or silence is in itself equivalent to speak.
05. No Insurer shall repudiate a life Insurance Policy on the ground of
Fraud, if the Life Assured/ beneficiary can prove that the misstatement
was true to the best of his knowledge and there was no deliberate
intention to suppress the fact or that such mis-statement of or
suppression of material fact are within the knowledge of the insurer.
Onus of disproving is upon the Policyholder, if alive, or beneficiaries.

1. How can I cancel my policy under Free Look?


 The policy can be cancelled anytime within 15 days from the date of receipt of the
policy document. Kindly submit the policy document along with a duly signed letter at any of the
Tata AIA Life branches#.

2. How can I change the premium payment mode?


 Please submit a duly signed copy of the Mode change form* at any of the Tata AIA Life
branches# at least 10 days before the due date of the policy.
 Please contact the branch or call center for mode changes allowed on your policy

3. How can I make the below mentioned changes in my policy?

whom an application for insurance on the person to be insured /proposer has been made for the purpose of underwriting the proposal and/or claim settlement.

nominees or assignees of the insured the grounds and materials on which such decision is based. Nothing in this section shall prevent the insurer from calling for proof of age at any time
if he is entitled to do so, and no policy shall be deemed to be called in question merely because the terms of the policy adjusted on subsequent proof that the age of the life insured was

Dear TATA AIA Team,

As per discussion with customer care team over telephone, I'm writing this email with regards to the query/follow-up document request.

Please refer to my email response dated: 14-Oct-2021.

I've shared all available documents with me with regards to treatment re:pain in testicles - such as prescription, medicine/consultant bills etc. Please
note - there were no such tests done as requested by you, details below -

Any further follow-up including any tests/USG etc. for this treatment were advised only in case discomfort still persist after 5 days of medicine
course.

As clarified earlier and mentioned in previous email, consulting doctor advised me that I should take prescribed medicine course for 5 days and only
visit him for follow-up in case of any discomfort/pain persists or does not go away. As per doctors advice, USG/any further tests are to be
done/needed only in case need for follow-up arise as mentioned above. Since discomfort was completely resolved there was no follow-up done and
no tests performed as advised by doctor during first visit, so there are no such reports or documents for me to share.

Also, I'm not a medical personnel and probably I'm not able to explain whole case over email, so in case of any further queries please call me on
registered number for discussion - it will be easier for me to discuss/explain the treatment.

Dear Sunil,

I've received your contact from Ms. Ranjana Paradkar (cc'd) from NJ Insurance Ltd. via whom I've applied for this term insurance.

I've been struggling to explain to your team regarding non-availability of test reports as they were not done as per doctor's advice (explained above).
All available documents have been already shared for the said domiciliary/OPD consultation/treatment.

Could you please help me to get this resolved or advise alternative as I am unable to share reports for tests which never happened/not required as per
doctor's advice unless follow-up was needed.
