Counselor Evaluation Framework

This document provides a guidance counselor observation tool for evaluating a counselor's performance. The tool includes 6 main components to evaluate: 1) Demonstrating knowledge and skills, 2) Establishing a respectful environment, 3) Meeting student needs, 4) Professional responsibilities, 5) Maintaining accurate records, and 6) Engaging in continued professional development. Ratings of Ineffective, Developing, Effective, or Exemplary are to be selected for each sub-component and evidence from observations is to be included to support the ratings.
