International Conference on Commerce,

Management, and Interdisciplinary Subjects

ICCMIS is a two-day event that discusses the pressing needs in the field of study and
raises new perspectives and ensures that your research is relevant and contribute to
the society by taking up interdisciplinary approaches. The Department of Commerce
and International Business, School of Business Studies, is organizing ICCMIS on
October 28-29, 2021 on the digital platform.

MODE OF CONDUCT
On-line mode. The links of the various sessions and parallel paper presentations
will be sent to all the participants and the members of the organizing committee.
CALL FOR PAPERS
We invite you to present your research paper before prestigious audience in this
conference and catch up on the latest trends in the field develop ideas for your next
research project.
The conference calls for high-quality research papers related to Commerce,
Management, Travel and Tourism and Interdisciplinary subjects and their themes
and sub themes. Maximum number of paper presentations permissible for each
participant.

The conference will have multiple broad research tracks. If you have any questions
about submitting to any particular track, contact any of the following conference

GUIDELINES TO THE AUTHORS


• An abstract should not be more than 200 words. Along with the abstract,
authors need to send not more than 5 key words. Abstract should be sent as
word document only.
• Correct name, designation, email ID of the author/s and affiliating institution
need to be clearly mentioned in the abstract.
• The full text of the paper shall not exceed 10 pages. Use APA reference style,
12 font, Times new Roman.
• The first page of the abstract should show the author details and the second
page should start with the abstract and key words. Give your complete
address, phone numbers, email ids.
• The maximum number of papers allowed per author is 2
• All communications pertaining to the conference, abstracts and the full papers

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FEE
There is no registration fee as this is the first international Conference from the
Department of Commerce and International Business, School of Business Studies.

Publication of Papers: If the participants of the conference agree for publication


of their papers, publication charges should be borne by the authors. This decision
would be taken after the conference based on the conference papers.

HOW TO REGISTER
All those who want to participate in the conference need to register for the
conference. The registration form is sent along with the brochure. Please fill this
form when you are sending the abstract. Participants who do not want to present
papers but want to attend the conference are also welcome to register. They need
to register using the registration form. We will be creating a Google form and
asking you to fill the details again.

About Central University of Kerala (CUK)

The Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod, came into being in 2009 under
the Central Universities Act 2009 (Parliament Act No. 25 of 2009). The University is
founded on the noble vision of a ‘caring wisdom’ and is guided by the lofty ideals
of academic and social commitment, moral steadfastness, and intellectual and
spiritual enlightenment, as reflected in its vision statement. Located in a region
characterized by linguistic and ethnic diversity and cultural richness, the University
seeks to harness the local resources – human, intellectual, social, artistic and
cultural – while bringing in the best that is globally available, thus maintaining a
fruitful, symbiotic relationship with a region that needs an educational uplift.
The campus of the CUK is located at Tejaswini Hills, Periye, Kasaragod,
Kerala, India, on the 310 acres of land allocated by the Govt. of Kerala in 2012. The
CUK also opened two Centres, the Capital Centre at Thiruvananthapuram, offering
an Integrated BA-MA Programme in International Relations and the Law Campus
at Thiruvalla. CUK has grown into an institution offering various postgraduate
and research programmes in 29 departments. CUK at its infant stage itself has
completed NAAC accreditation with B++ grade and is going for the second cycle of
NAAC accreditation in the year 2021.

School of Business Studies


The School of Business Studies (SBS) was started by the Central University of
Kerala in July 2019 with three programmes, MCom, MBA, and MBA (TTM). The first
batch of students from SBS has graduated in July 2021.
There are three departments namely, Commerce and International Business,
Management and Tourism Studies under the School of Business Studies. The school
aims to develop as a centre of excellence at par with the global standards in the area
of commerce, management and Tourism related areas and plans to bring in innova-
tions in pedagogy and provide Industry-University interface for the young students,
researchers and faculty members.

Department of Commerce and International Business


The Department of Commerce and International Business was started by the
Central University of Kerala in July 2019 and the first batch of MCom the students
have graduated in July 2021. The department offers two-year master’s degree
course and has plans to offer PhD programme shortly. The batch of MCom students
had IBM recruiting 4 of our students through campus recruitment. We are trying to
place other students. The admission to the programme is through Central Universities
Common Entrance Test (CUCET) conducted at all India level by NTA. The department
strives to raise the bar year after year in terms of delivering quality education that
matches the international standards. We endeavor to innovate with our classroom
teaching – which is blend of classical methods of delivering lectures along with
student centric methods of teaching learning. The department takes pride in its
best practices like incorporating service learning in the curriculum, peer mentoring,
mental health & holistic development programs, social outreach, research paper
publication, skill enhancement courses, professional development programmes,
skill development programmes, entrepreneurship develop programmes.
The Department has proposed two MOUs with (1) North Malabar Chamber
of Commerce (NMCC) and (2) Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI)
and these two MOUs would be between the Central University of Kerala and the
respective chambers of commerce.
