Safe Return to In-Person Classes?

The DepEd has approved 59 public schools to pilot face-to-face classes from November to January, with most schools located in Visayas and Mindanao. While over 57% of DepEd personnel have been vaccinated against COVID-19, teachers, students and parents have expressed concerns about safety given the risk of breakthrough infections, especially of the Delta variant, though some parents believe in-person learning is better for their children's education. An expert noted vaccinated teachers could still get infected.
