affect the whole world as a community. These issues disrupt the natural framework of
humanity, disturbing economic and social progress.
Global warming- a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere
generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, and
other pollutants.
Greenhouse gas- a gas that contributes to the greenhouse effect by absorbing infrared
radiation. Carbon dioxide and chlorofluorocarbons are examples of greenhouse gases.
Havoc- a situation where there is a lot of damage or destruction and confusion
widespread destruction

Hurricane-a storm with a violent wind, in particular a tropical cyclone in the Caribbean.

Irrigation-the supply of water to land or crops to help growth, typically by means of

harmful or poisonous effects.

Protection-the action of protecting, or the state of being protected.
Public transport-buses, trains, and other forms of transport that are available to the public,
charge set fares, and run on fixed routes.
