The blogger went to Greece and stayed at a small hotel in Athens. While taking a walk, they realized they had lost their wallet and were locked out of their hotel room. They were able to get help from the hotel manager, who invited them to dinner with his family. After eating, the manager let them back into their hotel room. The second blogger went on a class trip to Mexico City to visit Aztec ruins underground. They wandered away from the group to get a better look at a statue, but got lost in the dark halls. They wandered around alone and got nervous, but eventually their professor found and called out to them.

I have been to Europe many times but never to Greece
until last summer. It was an unforgettable experience! I
was staying at a small hotel in Athens. It was in a part o f
town where most tourists don’t stay, but it was cheaper
there, and I wanted to practice speaking Greek with
people. One evening I went for a walk before dinner.
Soon it started to get dark. I didn’t want to get lost,
and I remembered I had a small map o f Athens in my
wallet. M y wallet! It wasn’t in my pocket. I thought,
“ I’ve left it in the hotel room . . . and m y hotel key
is in my wallet!” It took me a long time to get back
to the hotel, but I made it. The door was locked, o f
course. Sometimes I talk to m yself when I’m upset.
Well, I must have said out loud, “ I’ve lost m y wallet,
I’ve locked m yself out, and I’ve missed dinner!” Just
