How to draw a Human face
The Human head and face are the most difficult parts to draw, so let's focus on these parts. Because
we spent a whole day looking at them, we knew if there was a problem in the drawing. Although
repetition and direct observation are the most important things you can do to improve your skills,
remember some useful tips as you practice head drawing.
Know your proportions.
The head is not perfectly round, nor is it perfectly oval. You can think of
as a kind of egg with a pointed end. This of course depends on the person and the point of view. But
let's start with a circle.

How to draw stick figures
To draw a human figure, stick figures will be the best friend in the first place, because it gives us
confidence as a designer. We’re going to tackle something simple at first. Go ahead, draw one right
now.
A stick figure should contain the following things.
1. A circle for the head
2. Midline for the spine
3. Two arms
4. Two legs
Fingers for hands and Lines for feet are optional, but if you want to add then you can go ahead.

Basic Guidelines
Most people are seven to seven-and-a-half heads high, but there seems to be a general consensus of
opinion that drawing a figure with those proportions often looks squat. So the classic division of the
body is usually done in eight equal segments:

Practicing drawing the standing position will give you a feel for the human body proportions. Since the
body is a collection of basic shapes, when you are drawing figures, you can start a block-in with ovals

for the arms, legs, neck, and head, circles for all the joints (the knees, ankles, and wrists), and
triangles for the feet, hands, and trunk.
Compare the proportions for a male figure and a female figure. The waist is lower on a man, and also
the hips are narrower and the shoulders wider.

Hand Study
Of all parts of the body, the hand is by many considered to be the hardest to draw. We all have stories
of how, early on, we would keep our characters' hands behind their backs or in their pockets, avoiding
as much as possible the task of tackling hands. Yet paradoxically, they are our most readily available
reference, being in our field of vision every moment of our lives. With just one extra accessory, a small
mirror, we can reference hands from all angles. The only real challenge, then, is the complexity of this
remarkably articulated organ: it's almost like drawing a small figure onto a larger one, one doesn't
know where to start.
