industrial automation and panel building for more than 15 years. During these 15
years this company has grown from strength to strength accumulating technical
expertise and manufacturing excellence. The company has carried out installation of
PLC systems ranging from 161/0’s to 600 input and outputs. These installations has
been carried out in different areas of application of industries like-

      In power distribution and control panel this company has carried out complete
      supply of panels for sugar mills,spinning mills etc.The biggest panel supplied
      is power control board of length 21 meters with busbar rating of 8000a and
      80ka rating with four 6300a incomes from 3mva transformers.

SCADA stands for supervisory control and data acquisition. It generally refers to
industrial control systems: computer systems that monitor and control industrial,
infrastructure, or facility-based processes, as described below:
  •   Industrial processes include those of manufacturing, production, power
      generation, fabrication, and refining, and may run in continuous, batch,
      repetitive, or discrete modes.
  •   Infrastructure processes may be public or private, and include water treatment
      and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, oil and gas pipelines,
      electrical power transmission and distribution, Wind farms, civil defense siren
      systems, and large communication systems.
  •   Facility processes occur both in public facilities and private ones, including
      buildings, airports, ships, and space stations. They monitor and control HVAC,
      access, and energy consumption.
A SCADA System usually consists of the following subsystems:
  •   A Human-Machine Interface or HMI is the apparatus which presents process
      data to a human operator, and through this, the human operator monitors and
      controls the process.
   •   A supervisory (computer) system, gathering (acquiring) data on the process
       and sending commands (control) to the process.
   •   Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) connecting to sensors in the process,
       converting sensor signals to digital data and sending digital data to the
       supervisory system.
   •   Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs) used as field devices because they are
       more economical, versatile, flexible, and configurable than special-purpose
       RTUs.
   •   Communication infrastructure connecting the supervisory system to the
       Remote Terminal Units.

The automation of many different processes, such as controlling machines or factory
assembly lines, is done through the use of small computers called a programmable
logic controllers (PLCs). This is actually a control device that consists of a
programmable microprocessor, and is programmed using a specialized computer
language. A modern programmable logic controller is usually programmed in any
one of several languages, ranging from ladder logic to Basic or C. Typically, the
program is written in a development environment on a computer, and then is
downloaded onto the programmable logic controller directly through a cable
connection. The program is stored in the programmable logic controller in non-
volatile memory.
Programmable logic controllers typically contain a variable number of input/output
(I/O) ports, and are usually Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) based. They
are designed for real-time use, and often must withstand harsh environments on the
shop floor. The programmable logic controller circuitry monitors the status of
multiple sensor inputs, which control output actuators, which may be things like
motor starters, solenoids, lights and displays, or valves.
                       COMPANY MISSION
 The company aims to train and impart         knowledge in the field of industrial
automation using PLC. Drives, human interface,DAS system, SCADA and DCS
system. While in switchgears the training shall be give in low voltage
switchgear, controlgear and related system.
This is being done to train staff and personals in order to promote good
engineering and maintenance practices in industry thereby improving the better
utilization of resources. This combination has been taken up as now the
demand for maintenance and engineering requires total knowledge of
automation and switchgears.
                            CONCLUSION
This is my first industrial visit.I have learned lot of things in this industry about
scada, plc and other, how it works and what are the processes which are being
done in this industry. With the help of scada software and plc hardware they
operate the different types of machine and more works. With the help of this
Software we can find out how many products can be made by machine in particular
time and we can control also .This industry do lot of works like total
packing/filling of bottels (like coal drinks bottels) begging to end.There is no man
work in this industry,every single thing is being done by the wonders of automation
industrialization.
This visit was one of the very exciting and enjoyfull visit of my passed carrier
because this industry is basically for electrical & eletronics engineers and my
branch is civil   So this visit is very good for me..
