I. Objective
At The end of the lesson the students should be able to:
1. Define straight whiskey
2. Identify the different types of straight whiskey

II. Subject Matter


A. Topic: Types of Straight Whiskey
B. References: The Professional Bar & Beverage Managers Handbook
C. Materials: Pentil pen, catonila, scatch tape, visual aid and picture

III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
a. Prayer
Call a student to lead the prayer.
b. Greetings
c. Checking attendance
Let the class monitor check the attendance.
d. Review of the previous lesson
1. What was the last topic that Ma’am Uy talk about?
2. What is advertising and marketing?
3. What are the types of advertising?
e. Motivation
 The teacher will call random students to answer the crossword
puzzle in the board
 Let students identify the correct words in the crossword puzzle
that can be seen in the board.
B. Lesson Proper
a. Activity
 They will play called “charades”.
 The teacher will call four random students to pick one folded
paper containing several word and they will act the word without
noise or sounds.
 The rest of the class must the guess what the student is
attempting to portray.
b. Analysis
1. What have you notice on the activity?
2. What do think our topic for today?
c. Abstraction
Discuss the following with the students:
 Define straight whiskey
 Identify the different types of whiskey
C. Application
The teacher will call random students for recitation to evaluate if they
really learned from the lesson.
1. What are the types of Straight whiskey?
2. What is Tennessee whiskey?
3. What is Bourbon whiskey?
4. What is the difference between Bourbon whiskey and Tennessee
whiskey?
5. What is Straight whiskey?
6. What is American rye whiskey?
7. What is Bottled-in-bond whiskey?
IV. Evaluation
The teacher will give short quiz that helps student apply their learning of what was
taught.
1. It is made from 51 percent corn mash.
2. It is now made from a blend of grains.
3. It is very similar to bourbon whiskey but has a more refined taste
since it is filtered through maple charcoal.
4. It is unmixed with any other type of whiskey or liquor.
5. It is made under the supervision of the United States government
