Warm up

Hello everyone! My name is Dinu Georgiana and today we will do a lesson together.

How you feel? Did you sleep well?

First I would like you to look at two pictures.

What do you see in these pictures? Two pools

I want you to tell me what differences and similarities you notice. Whatever comes in your mind.

I want you to think especially about the empty pool. How is it? More specific. It is a physical feature that
humans have too. You give up? - It's a dehydrated pool.

Lead in

What does dehydrated mean? It means that something doesn’t t have enough water. A Lack of water.

Is it ok? For us humans, for example. Do we really need water? For what do we need water? Give me
more examples. (we need water for making coffee, the most important )

So we all agree that we need water. Ok

Practice

Now, Let s see what other people think about water. We are going to listen a radio programme about

In your course book, at page 106, exercise 1, you can find some questions based on the audio. You have

Exercise 4

Ok, very good, thank you all. I think this topic is quite interesting, and we should find out more
about water, but this time from you. You can find some questions in exercise 4.

Let’s see question number 2.

1. Does anything from the radio programme surprise you? What and why?
2. Do you know any interesting facts or stories about water?
Have you heard about „dripping machine”, in Romanian picătura chinezească?
How does it work? The victim is tied to chair and the water is easily let drip on a person’s
forehead. This gradually leads to the madness of the victim.
3. How much water do you drink every day?
4. What do you drink when you get up in the morning? and why? Does anyone do the same?

5. What is your favorite drink when you are very thirsty?

6. Have you heard of chemtrails? I don't know if I'm allowed to tell you this, but there is a
theory that says we are poisoned with this substance. Chemtrails means chemical trails, the
white trails left by the planes. Many people say that they are left in the air to reach the
water more easily. If it’s true, it’s very bad, let’s hope not. Haven’t heard of it? Ok, I’m the
only suspect here.
7. Can you give me more synonyms for the word dehydrated? Have you heard of desiccated?
Or devitalized? Desicated =means the exhaust of moisture, devitalized =to destroy the
vitality of something.

Thank you so much for cooperating. If we have time, we are going to see another video, with
more fascinating facts about water, I think you will enjoy it.

After that, I would like you to write down in your notebook arguments pro and against the
information presented in the video.

Thank you for your attention, that’s enough for today.

2. Ce oameni suferă fără apă?
