 Abstract/Summary
Work immersion program provide student a hands-on training or work simulation
giving a set of skills that can help them make more informed about their carrier choices and
improve their employment prospect, Tabuk City National High School is the only school in
the province of Tabuk that offers sports track. The purpose of the study was to analyzed the
perception of sports track students toward work immersion after they have experienced it for
better understanding of its impact to their live and their career choice. The study used a
descriptive research with a qualitative approach using multiple – case study design. The
findings were drawn from the open-ended questionnaires and the semi – structured interviews
of Grade 12 EIM students, work immersion was very effective in developing skills relevant
to their respective skills and serves as training preparation for their career choice.
 Introduction
A work immersion portfolio is one of the requirement in Senior High School student
before their graduating. It is a collection of their activity in their students should be expected
to exposed in a different kind of communication and being with their field of specialization
and become globally competent. The work immersion provides an opportunity in the actual
field of work to the preparations for my future career.

The work immersion is a key feature in senior high school curriculum. It can be
conducted in different way depending on the purpose and needs of the learners. It was
guideline that work immersion will help develop among learner’s life and career skills.

I am proud to say that I am part of Tabuk City National High School, I become more
knowledgeable, skillful and respectful person.
 Important Points of Work Immersion
The important of work immersion must be seen as vital point of giving students a
venue to improve themselves through experiencing real stuff first hand. This is the very
highlight of the senior high school program. It helps students to acquire knowledge and
experience that can help them grow as professional individuals.

Help the students to develop the skill of teamwork, and acquire knowledge in
communication and also develop their skill in judgment, decision making punctuality and
productivity and professionalism of students in addiction to this immersion expose the
student in real life that will have their future career.
 Objective of Work Immersion
Work immersion will help develop among the learner’s life and career skills and will
prepare them to make decisions on post – secondary education or employment through
partnership building DepEd hopes that the partner institutions will provide learners with work
immersion opportunities, workplace or hands-on experience and additional learning
resources.

Work immersion will help to develop the learner’s life and career skill, and will
prepare them to make decisions on postsecondary education or employment. Enrich skills in
communication, human relations develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciations and
respect for work.

Work immersion provide a general work experience and acquaint the students
formally to a real life workplace environment so that the student can apply skills previously
and new relevant skills acquired at the college.
 Attributes of Work Immersion
As a student who needs to go under work immersion, it is very important to possess work-
related skills and values so that you may practices and internalize working under real – time
processes in your chosen profession. Some of the key values and attributes that you need to
portray are:
 Daily Activity
Day 1

Sir Benganio orient us on what should we do in our first day of our work immersion
we started to work about switches and fire alarm system.

Day 2

On the 2nd day we review what we have discuss on the 1st day we learn about the
connection of wire system, we created biometric scanner.

Day 3

On the 3rd day of Immersion we perform individually the motor contractor.

Day 4

I and my group mates went to checked destroyed fans for maintenance.

Day 5

I together with my group mates participated in our floor and sweep the group and
lastly take picture to be used as documentation for our portfolio.
 Weekly Narrative Report
Week 1

Performing activities like cleaning all the destroyed fans.

Week 2

Install electrical wiring devices and lighting switches

Week 3

Wiring and calling works for single phase distribution power.

Week 4

Install wiring devices of floor plan and wall mounted outlets, lighting fixtures
switches and auxiliary.

Week 5

Install ceiling fan in Grade 9-10 building and we also repair the damage electric fan.
 Reflection
Work immersion is a stage where the graduating students can show their skills and
talents when it comes to their chosen courses. And also, because of this work immersion, they
can also apply what they’re had been learned during their classes hour. This immersion really
a beneficial for the students to enhance their skills and to enlighten their minds for the things
that they are lack of. And this work immersion is considered as the stepping stone for the
students to practice and develop their self for what they have chosen. During this stage,
students may realize how their chosen courses it may be work in the future so that they have
learned an idea what their courses will bring if it’s really suits to them or they found it a
boring one. Working hours is really important because it is considered as you record in order
to accomplish the working day that have give to each students. As a graduating student, work
immersion made me realized for all thing that I lack of and change me to become a better
one. During our immersion, I’ve learned a lot of things that I can used in the near future.
 Dedication
As well as everything that I do, I would be honor to dedicate this compilation to my
parents. The two person that gave the tools and values necessary to be where I am standing to
today. My parents support me on every step I make and decision I take; but is necessary to
understand that they let me take my decision alone in order for me to learn and grow from
each setback. I will never finish to tank you my father and my mother for all the opportunities
that they have offer and gave me, for all the teachings that they have told me and for every
advise that come out of their mouth. I am so grateful with them for trusting me that I would
do a good job in the university and letting me come to achieve a higher education.
