Subject – Sick leave due to typhoid

Respected Sir

I have been getting high fever everyday for the past one week and have been at my hometown
since. Upon getting a serum widal test, I was diagnosed with typhoid and the doctor has advised
me to take proper rest for at least 15 days. I would continue to stay at my hometown for atleast
one more week and unfortunately won’t be able to attend the classes. I request you to kindly
grant me permission to do so and if possible kindly grant me attendance for these days on a
medical basis. I have enclosed my report with the application.
