SUMMARY

1. Reference: PNP Revised Guidelines in the Standard Preparation of


Communication signed by PDDG ROMMEL DF. HEREDIA, TCDS dated August 16,
2012.

2. It is observed that there is no standard system of preparing communication in


the Academy.

3. In August of this year, PNP came up with revised guidelines in the standard
preparation of communication.

4. Through inquiries, I found out that PPSC, BJMP and BFP have no guidelines
in the preparation of communication.

5. ITC, recommend for the adoption of the following communication formats


Academy wide:

a. PNP Revised Guidelines in the Standard Preparation of Communication


(Annex A) as to the preparation of memorandum and business letter,
b. Completed Staff Work (Annex B),
c. Routing Slip (Annex C), and
d. Instruction/Coordination Form (Annex x )
e. Notice of Conference (Annex D).

6. Further recommend that a one day seminar will be conducted to all chief of
offices and other stakeholders ICOW the use of the recommended communication
formats.
