Filaments: POY DTY FDY
    POY - POY is mainly used in texturizing to make textured yarn, also
      known as Polyester Drawn Textured Yarn (DTY). It is also known as
      Polyester Pre-Oriented Yarn. It is the first form of yarn made directly
      from PTA & MEG or by spinning Polyester PET Chips.
 DTY - Drawn Texturised Yarn (DTY) yarn is obtained when Polyester
   POY is simultaneously twisted & drawn. DTY yarn is mainly used in
   weaving & knitting of fabrics for making clothes, home furnishings, seat
   covers, bags and many other uses. DTY yarn can be in Semi Dull or
   Bright or Trilobal Bright.
   (Also, the DTY yarn can be made with several combinations of
   Intermingle points - it can be Non-Intermingle (NIM) having 0 - 10
   knots/meter or Semi-Intermingle (SIM) having 40 - 50 knots/meter or
   High-Intermingle (HIM) having 100 - 120 knots/meter. These knots are
   not actually the knots tied when two threads are broken but they are the
   tangle knots created by heating pressure. Polyester DTY yarn can also be
   twisted to high twists like 1500 TPM or 4000 TPM (twist per meter).
   Such twisted yarn can also be heat-set to make the yarn permanently
   thermo-set the twist. Catonic DTY is another variant of Polyester DTY
   that is mainly used in blankets. Catonic DTY is made from Catonic PET

 FDY - Polyester FDY is the abbreviation for Polyester Fully Drawn
   Yarn. It is also known as Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) or Spin Draw
   Yarn (SDY). FDY is mainly used as weft or weaves in making fabrics.
   FDY can be knitted or woven with any other filament yarn to get fabric of
      various different varieties. It is mainly used in Home Furnishing Fabrics,
      Fashion Fabrics, Denim, Terry Towel and others.

Nylon and Polyester Yarns :
Nylon and polyester are both synthetic fabrics, but nylon production is more
expensive, which results in a higher price for the consumer. Nylon also tends to
be more durable and weather-resistant, which is why it is more likely to be
used in outdoor apparel or gear. Both fabrics are flame retardant, but nylon is
stronger, while polyester is more heat-resistant. More common to certain
kinds of apparel, including lingerie, tights, raincoats, and swimwear. Carpets,
drapes, and bedding. More wide range of industrial uses.
   Breathability: Neither fabric scores well in this category! Synthetic fabrics do
    not usually promote airflow and can be hot and sticky as a result.
   Durability: Nylon is stronger than polyester, but both fabrics are extremely
    durable.
   Comfortable/Softness: This is a matter of some debate, but usually, nylon is
    lighter, silkier, and softer than polyester.
   Water Resistance: Polyester does not absorb water, while nylon does in small
    amounts. Both fabrics are water-resistant, though.
   Mildew Resistance: Both fabrics resist mold and hold up well against any
    weathering.
   Odor Resistance: Polyester absorbs oils and can hold onto smells, while nylon
    does not.
   UV Resistance: Polyester will not fade in the sunlight. Nylon is less UV
    resistant and will fade over time.
   Flammability: Both fabrics resist heat but will eventually melt and burn.
   Easy Care: Both materials are machine washable and easy to care for.
   Cost: Polyester is usually cheaper than nylon.
   Common Uses: Both materials do well in athletic wear, outdoor apparel, and
    backpacks. Polyester has a wider appeal in the clothing industry, while nylon is
    used for a few select types of clothing.
Air Textured Yarn:
Air Textured Yarn (ATY) is a kind of hybrid textured yarn produced through
Air-Jet Texturing process. Air-jet texturing process is a purely mechanical
method that uses a cold air-stream to produce bulked yarns with spun touch and
warmth. It can be used in a very broad range of fabrics from simple lightweight
scrim all the way to very heavy duty soft luggage fabrics, from lightweight
swim wear to heavy weight parkas. Several filament yarns can be mixed to
construct the ideal ATY for a certain endues. ATY is a rather expensive yarn if
the denier is low. But higher deniers compare very favourable with competitive
spun yarns.
(ATY  yarns are made from POY, ATY is a yarn with zillions of small loops, which give it a distinct feeling
and look whereas DTY is a yarn with preferably no loops at all. The loops in ATY contribute to the bulk and
loft of a fabric, whereas in DTY the even crimp in every filament creates the bulk and volume of a fabric._)
Mono Filament Yarn:
Monofilament yarns are usually circular and solid in cross section. The apparel
applications of monofilaments are limited owing to their low bulk and high
bending rigidity. The examples of monofilaments from everyday life include
fishing line, dental floss, in sports racquets, and bristles of tooth brushes.
Hollow monofilaments are used in softer sewing thread applications where
elastomeric monofilaments find applications in pressure garments. Synthetic
monofilament fabrics, because of their ductility and memory, may be flexed
repeatedly without work hardening and fatigue. They may be folded or dented
with less chance of damage compared with a metal cloth, and they are lighter in
weight.
Air covered Yarn :
Air Covered Yarn is a regular intermingled yarn, the covering filament yarn and
Spandex are drawn meanwhile from a special jet nozzle where the yarns are air-
jetted at regular intervals by high compressed air.
The Air-jet Covered Yarn needs sizing for warp knitting and can be used for
weft knitting directly. They are comfortable to wear and can modify their
elasticity to fit different end-products. Air covered yarns can be used to produce
fabrics of varying styles, hands and functions, and can be designed for woven as
well as knitted fabrics according to their properties.

Woven fabric is any textile formed by weaving. Woven fabrics are often created
on a loom, and made of many threads woven on a warp and a weft. Technically,
a woven fabric is any fabric made by interlacing two or more threads at right
angles to one another. Woven fabrics can be made of both natural and synthetic
fibres, and are often made from a mixture of both. E.g., 100% Cotton or 80%
Cotton & 20% polyester. Woven fabric is typically used in clothing, garments,
for decoration, furniture or covering purposes such as carpets.
