Point AA- - Representing move “UP” action or as digit # “1”.

Point BB- - Representing “OK” action or as digit # “2”.
Point DC- - Representing move “Down” action or as digit # “3”.
Point CD- - Representing System Menu for “Setup” action or as digit # “4”.
When pressing “Setup” button, the LCD display will show a list of System Menu to select.
 Sensor Lengths: It shall show the length of sensing cable of each monitoring zone(ie: each
DF/SM50)
 System Parameters:
 Event Log Display – To display leak and/or trouble faults up to 896 events under FIFO (First-
In-First-Out) sequence.
 Sound ON/OFF Setup (Password protected: Default password is “12341234”)
- To permanently turn ON or OFF the Alarm/Buzzer.
 System Setup (Password protected: Default password is “12341234”)
- MODBUS Interface (Default Slave #: 1):
o For Interfacing with high level Building Management System (BMS).
Can assign from 1 to 247 numbers of code.
- Threshold/Freezing
o Alarm Threshold
When leak is detected at sensor module, leak level is being transmitted to
panel as a digital value between 1 and 9. It allows easy filtering of
unwanted alarms at panel by setting the amount of liquid to trigger alarm.
o Monitoring ON/OFF
Freezing all zones under maintenance (ie: No alarm will be sent to BMS.)
- Time/Date Setup
o To set or adjust Time and Date

Point CE- - Representing Alarm “Sound OFF” action or as digit # “5”.

Point CF- - Representing “System LCD display, displays the operation process of 3L-DF/SP panel.

Point DH- - Representing “Leak LED”.
Point C I- - Representing “Trouble LED”.
Point BJ- - Representing DIP switch (default number set at #1).

1.2.1 CABLE CONNECTION DETAILS

Figure 7: Schematic diagram for 3L-DF/SP with 3L-DF/SM50 modules

 Cable connection:
 Follow the color code such as R  PURPLE, W  BLACK, G  RED wire by using leader
cable.

 Output (To Panels):

 Not Applicable.
 MODBUS (To BMS/EMS):
 Connect RS485 communication cable to Building Management System (BMS) or
Environment Management System (EMS).

This terminal is also use to program Zone Name (up to 35 Characters) for each Control Panel’s zone
location and PASSWORD (default password is “12341234” and it can be changed by using ONLY ELSA PC
software).

 Trouble Relay:
 Sensing cable break per zone, power failure or loss of RS485 communication between 3L-
DF/SP and DF/SM50 will activate this Trouble Relay.
 Number of “Trouble” Relays: 2 units, Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT).
 Leak Relay:
 Liquid leaked detected at any of the DF/SM50 module’s sensing cable will activate this
“Leak” Relay.
 Number of “Leak” Relays: 2 units, Double Pole Double Throw (DPDT).
 100V~240 VAC:
 100~240 VAC input power supply. (Optional: 12 VAC/12 VDC or 24VAC/24VDC is available
upon request. Battery Backup option is also available upon request.)
