Program Description: The PALES Annual Convention provides continuing surgical education for PALES Fellows, its members, trainees and other practicing general surgeons of the Philippines.
Its purpose is to present latest local and international evidence, recommendations, and guidelines of minimally invasive management of surgical diseases, to enhance and develop
laparoscopic and endoscopic technical skills, and to promote various approaches and applications of laparoscopy and endoscopy with emphasis on quality of surgical care and patient
safety.
This year’s convention, with the theme, “The PANDEMIC aftermath: Pursuing A New Dimension of Education in Minimally Invasive Concepts”, thru a series of decisive lectures, that are
evidence based, presenting new concepts and relevant discussions in minimally invasive surgery. We aim to provide our audience with current concepts and recent innovations improving
current standards, promoting emerging relevant techniques and technologies, and enhancing surgical training. Furthermore, we aim to reinforce our fellows with the highest standard of
laparoscopic practices and standards, promoting safe laparo-endoscopic techniques in our country, which eventually will lead to the best quality of care.
