ACTIVITY # 3
“Let’s protect our health”
COMPETENCE: Write various types of texts in English as a foreign language.
CHALLENGE: What actions could we take to help people take care of their
physical and emotional health?

PURPOSE: Recognize and interpret information about some myths and truths
regarding diet and physical activity give recommendations in English using the
expressions “I think...” and “in my opinion...”.

EVIDENCE: An outreach campaign opting for a message on social networks.

SITUATION: In our communities we have a variety of spaces that provide us with diverse
opportunities for activity. In this regard, in some media they warn us about how
the current situation could be affecting our families in physical and emotional
health.
DATE: FROM 22 TO 26 AUG.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Obtains information from the English text to answer comprehension questions about it.

Identifies and selected recommendations from the article in English to make my visual organizer.

Interprets information to give recommendations in English using “I think…” “In my opinion…”.

Gives my opinion on why it is important to follow the recommendations in English and lead a
healthy life.
