The comic strip rubric assesses student comic strips on 8 criteria: neatness, use of parts of speech, title, creativity, illustrations, spelling and punctuation, and humor. A score of 4 meets all criteria at a high level, such as having no errors and using creative details that show imagination. A score of 1 meets few criteria at a basic level, such as having many errors and little evidence of creativity.
