Violence in Movies and On TV

Streaming platforms and the internet have made watching movies and TV more accessible, with comedies and dramas available to suit different tastes, though the depiction of violence can be debated. While some argue that violent content may influence young viewers, ratings systems are in place, and others believe actors are not truly harmed. Ultimately, TV and film are a form of art that aims to provoke feelings, not always in an entertaining or beautiful way.

Most people enjoy watching movies and tv, platforms like Netflix, HBO

and Disney+ make it more accessible to everyone and if you don’t have
any of those options you can find your way on the internet. . There are a
lot of options from comedy to drama, there is something for everyone to
enjoy, but when it comes to a certain topic like acts of violence
represented on the screen, we can debate about it.

Representation of violence in movies and tv can be controversial, whether

we like it or not movies and tv somehow represent what’s in our own
society. Some people might think that showing violent actions on screen
can influence the mind of young people, therefore that's why there are
ratings for the movies, from General audiences to Restricted – Under 17,
however we can argue about how harmful it can be to the actors that play
those roles. And in the other hand we have people that think that there is
nothing wrong with showing violence scenes, because they understand
that all of that is just fictional.

In the end series and movies that we watch on tv are, somehow, a form of
art, and art is not meant to be always beautiful or entertaining, it is meant
for us to feel something.
