What is nursing
care?
"Nursing care means any SERVICE
provided by a NURSE and involves:
promotion of health, prevention of
illness, and care of physically
ill, mentally ill, and disabled
people of all ages, in all health
care and other community settings"

1. Nursing care utilizes a medical plan of care and treatment.
2. The performance of nursing care utilizes skills that would give
maximum comfort and security to the individual

to the patient or to any responsible member of the family.
