1. The document discusses several literary allusions used in television and film to represent different concepts. It provides examples of allusions to relationships ("I own a big part of him" referring to an ex-girlfriend), marriage ("ang marriage ay parang exclusive village" and "squatter" referring to a mistress), strength and indestructibility ("just like gold, I am indestructible"), personalities ("lucy torres, gretchen baretto" referring to different ways of dealing with mistreatment) and transparency ("sardinas" referring to a relationship needing clearly defined boundaries).

Allusion: “I own a big part of him”

Why do think it is the allusion: Because it was used as a reference for someone who
had become part of a person's life before. She was saying that she had become his
girlfriend first, it means that she was his ex.

Allusion:”ang marriage ay parang exclusive village.” “squatter”

Why do think it is the allusion:because the exclusive village has tight security. They
do not allow anyone, especially if they are not residents, to easily enter the village. It
was used to describe a marriage. You have to watch your husband so that no other
woman can ruin your marriage and the word squatter is used as a reference for
mistress.

Allusion:”just like gold, I am indestructible”

Why do think it is the allusion:Gold is indestructible; it will not corrode, rust, or

tarnish, and it cannot be destroyed by fire. It was used as a reference for Maja
Salvador's character, incapable of being destroyed, ruined, or rendered ineffective.

Allusion: “lucy torres, gretchen baretto”

Why do think it is the allusion:Because Lucy Torres is kind, quiet, and patient,
whereas Gretchen Barretto is a fighter who fights back when she is being mistreated.
Carmi Martin's character used their names as a reference in encouraging her daughter
to pack up her old self and become a Gretchen Barretto who fights back and won't let
anyone abuse her.

Allusion: “sardinas”

Why do think it is the allusion:Because sardinas have a label with their ingredients, it
was used as a reference for a relationship to have a label too.

1. The blame for the deteriorating state of poverty would be directed at both the
government and the poor themselves. If the government was not doing anything to
alleviate the condition, but instead stealing money from funds for the poor, the
problem would not be addressed and would continue to descend. Somehow,
people who face poverty are also to blame for their condition. It is not their fault
to be born in poverty, but it is their fault to die in poverty, meaning that we
cannot control the circumstances in which we are born, but this should not deter
us from working hard to improve our lives. It is within our power to lift ourselves
out of poverty.People should not solely depend on the government to feed them;
they should work hard and do it themselves. If they won't do anything and just
wait for someone's help, then it's their fault if they descend further into their
financial condition.

2. 3 things that I believe the poor really need and the government must prioritize for
its people:

1. Funds to meet educational requirements

2.A lot of job opportunities

3. Financial knowledge

Explanation:

1.Even if we say that education is free, many people are still unable to study owing to
a lack of study materials, particularly now that the pandemic is still ongoing. Every
student needs a notebook, paper, ballpen, pencil, uniform, shoes, and allowance, as
well as equipment such as laptops and cellphones now that we are in blended
learning. Many people cannot afford to purchase the aforementioned educational
necessities. Therefore, many can not afford to study even if they want to.

2. Poor people will be able to meet the cost of daily necessities better if they have
more opportunities to work. Therefore, the government should establish a job fair to
promote giving the uneducated a chance to have a stable job that can provide for the
needs of their families.

3. Whether we admit it or not, there's a chance we don't know how to spend money
and end up wasting it on frivolous items. A program or conference on how to properly
use money should be held. Financial knowledge is vital because it allows people to
become self-sufficient and achieve financial security. This includes being able to save
money, distinguish between wants and needs, manage a budget, pay their bills, buy a
home, pay for college, and plan for retirement.

3. .As a young person, I believe that the most effective way to help the poor
improve their living conditions is to encourage them to work hard and learn to
save money from their salary and deposit it in the bank so that if something
emergency comes up or there's something that their family member needs to buy,
they can withdraw from the bank from their accounts.
4.

 Unhealthy surroundings
 Loss of employment
 Lack of access to hospitals

Many people have lost their jobs as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, making life
more difficult for them, and the population has grown due to teenage pregnancies. For
their children, filthy environments are growing increasingly perilous. while our
compatriots in rural areas suffer from severe poverty, particularly in terms of health.
Because their place is so far away from the hospital, they die even before arriving
there. Some people there also choose not to go to the hospital and instead wait to die.

5.

 Public education: increasing the supply of skilled labor and reducing income inequality due to
education differentials.

 Progressive taxation means the rich are taxed proportionally more than the poor, reducing the
amount of income inequality in  society.

 Minimum wage legislation Raising the wages of the poorest workers would be beneficial.

 Nationalization or subsidization of products: By providing goods and services that everyone

needs cheaply or freely (such as food, healthcare, and housing), governments can effectively
raise the purchasing power of the poorer members of society.

6. Yes, I believe that the increasing gap between the rich and poor leads to more
crimes in society because the poor citizens might think that it's unfair, which will lead
them to commit crimes such as robbery, holdups, and even murder. The same thing
goes for rich citizens. Out of a desire to get richer, they also commit crimes, such as
threatening or even killing the residents of land on which they illegally build a factory
or building and claim that the land is their property. They are doing this to expand
their business.

7.Yes, because if I share my blessings, God will reward me with more blessings. I
would not be able to take my treasure to the grave when my time came, so while I was
still alive, I would help those in need.

8.Yes, because we know that people who come from the provinces and have not yet
completed their education have a slim chance of being accepted for a job in the city.
The most common requirement for getting a job in a city is an educational
background. However, there are employers who still accept them even if they did not
graduate. But the salary is low, so it will be even more difficult.

9. It is more worthwhile to teach someone to do something for themselves than to

do it for them. It means you have to work to have an income so that you can
provide for your family's needs. It's not always someone who will help you, so
learn to stand on your own two feet and help yourself to get out of poverty.

10.I don't agree because, acknowledge it or not, some wealthy people are greedy, and
even more strive to be wealthy.
