Dear Members of the admissions committee
I am writing this motivation letter to express my interest in the master’s program in Systems Engineering and
Engineering Management - Mechanical Systems in your esteemed University. I firmly believe that my educational
background, my current career, and the feeling of wanting to know more about machines make me a good candidate
for this program.
Since childhood, I have been always fascinated by machines. I would break many toys and figure out the working
strategy. This interest continued as I grew and led me to take Bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering. During
my Bachelor's degree, I was always eager to understand how the machine operates, the types of engines,
Automation, and control mechanisms, and also consistently excited by assembling and dissembling machines.
Sometimes it led to the destruction of things that I was trying to inspect. Continuous thriving in this field pushed me
and set up my own Mechanical Company in my home town after the successful completion of my bachelor's degree.
I strongly believe that my current experience and want myself to upgrade in this field is the ultimate reason that takes
me to study Systems Engineering and Engineering Management - Mechanical Systems at Fachhochschule
Südwestfalen.
Over 6+ years of experience in the mechanical industry, I have gained practical knowledge of machines particularly
control systems, suspension mechanism, Gearbox, body works, Vehicle electronics, power steering and body
corrosion control etc., Along with that I have an opportunity to work with the customers and for their satisfaction,
recruit new employees and provided end to end hands-on training on tools and technology. Now I decided to learn
something new and advance in this field and my bachelor's degree education and current experience in the
mechanical industry are unable to compete with now a day’s tools and technology. Delving for the solution and desire
to knowing new in the mechanical field, I would like to pursue a master’s in advanced mechanical engineering.
However, worldly-wise knowledge in this field is lacking in my previous university and the world knows Germany is
the land of great mechanical inventers.
Studying Systems Engineering and Engineering Management - Mechanical Systems at your esteemed university is a
good opportunity for me to improvise my knowledge of advanced Technology both theoretically and practically. And
also this multicultural university enables me to improve my interpersonal skills and gives me the privilege to interact
with new people with different perspectives. That would enhance my knowledge and experience from a business
perspective. I am convinced that this master's program would provide me with advanced theoretical, and practical
skills, and hands-on experience with new tools and technology which will lead to the next level of using advanced
machine tools and technology in my future career.
Upon completion of the program, I intend to apply the knowledge I have gained here for my future growth and
society around. I strongly believe that this master's program will improvise my thirst for learning new tools in the
mechanical and management field come true.
I perceive the highly competitive demands of the program but I have the ability, ambitions, and motivation to excel at
this university. In my opinion, this program is the best way to fulfil my goal. I am so positive this advanced practical-
oriented program would be an extraordinary start for me in an aspiring business career. Therefore, I would be very
glad and happy if I received admission to this study program.
