Illustrate and describe the basic processes of the Cell Cycle

To fully understand the Cell Cycle, we are going to work on a creative project so you can apply your
knowledge about what we have discussed so far in science class. The choices for the presentation of this
project are endless! YOU WILL BE PRESENTING THIS TO THE WHOLE CLASS!

Choices for presentation:

 Comic Strip
 Other (If you think of something else you would like to do, run the idea by me to see if it works!)

Requirements:
 All phases of the cell cycle must be represented. (Interphase {G1, S, G2}, prophase, metaphase,
anaphase, telophase, and cytokinesis)
 You must include 2 key points about each phase
 Describe what happens when cells divide uncontrollably.
 Describe the current beliefs as to why people age.
 Describe a process in the human body in which there is evidence of the cell cycle at work. (You
can use examples we have discussed in class.)

Evaluation:
 You will be evaluated by a rubric. (See attached)
 As well as receiving a grade from me, you will also get the opportunity to grade yourself using the
same rubric.
