JESSIECAH CHICANO DELOS SANTOS BSN-1B

1. What was the covenant of God to Abraham, and why was Abraham called the
father of our faith?
- The covenant between Abraham and God consisted of three separate parts and this
are God vowed to make Abraham the father of a great country, stating that God must
be obeyed by Abraham and his descendants. In return, God would guide them and
protect them and give the land of Israel or it is called the promise land. Abraham
called as the father of faith because he faithfully followed and obeyed God’s
instruction even though he doesn’t know who God is, and one the example of this is
that when God commanded him to offer and sacrifice his son Isaac Abraham didn’t
say a word but did what God asked him to do.
2. If you accept God as a faithful God, how then do you describe your faith to God?
with family members? and the whole community?
- I accept God as a faithful God in a way that he is our provider and protector. I can
describe my faith to God through reading the Bible, because the Bible teaches us to
become real and have a faith, because I believed that the Bible which is full of words
of God is the only way I can strengthen my faith. Every time I have problems in
school, I’d rather read Bible for the sake of having a courage to work harder and
understand everything, now that we are facing this pandemic as student, I need to be
strong. When it comes to my family member, we cannot avoid family problems, so
there are days when my family gets in trouble but the only way is to pray, go to
church every Sunday, so that the pain we feel can be reduced and we can overcome
all challenges in our family. I just want to share when the time that my mother died
because of bone cancer, in our family I’m the one who suffered the most, because I
really love her and I the youngest and the only daughter so I feel hurt when I saw my
mother died at front of me, but in order to overcome that pain, I accept everything and
let God made a decision for her and of course I prayed that even without her I hope
things will be better soon, and because of that I am here, my family is getting stronger
because we have faith to God that he will not forsake us. Lastly, God unites the
community. He wants us to be strong and unite as one in order to achieved the goals
in our country. He gave us more blessings and share it to one another. Whenever our
community having problems, we always asked for his guidance on how to lessen this
problem and thank him because he granted it. We Christians, have stronger faith to
God because as Christian I am of the proof that I believed and trust God with all of
my life.
