Dear Dr. Cron,
Hereby I would like to express my interest in this scholarship opportunity and my
gratitude to the Erasmus Mundus for this program. I’m a chemical engineer graduated
from Central-America University “José Simeón Cañas”, through this career I had the
opportunity to make a research about an environmental modelling (The simulation of
hydrodynamic and dissolved oxygen in a Cerron Grande reservoir), this modelling required
me to learn about remote sensing and digital images processing, at the end of the
research I felt satisfied about the new knowledge that I acquired, and I thought that with
more knowledge about these topics could be develop more in our country.
Since I developed the skills in environmental modelling, remote sensing and digital images
processing, I believed that this International Master of Science Program in Cartography
perfectly suits my profile and career prospects. I perceive an extraordinary opportunity to
interact with students and scholars from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds
coming from all World. This type of networking is very important for integration of
different ideas and perspectives pertaining to diverse global issues.
My motivation on this master program it is based on a genuine interest development and
improve of my skills about these techniques in order to go in the right way of professional
profile that I want to have.
At the end, I would like to point out that I am determined to make the most out of the
scholarship program. I believe that being a student in your department would not only
empower my career development, but would give me the framework to utilize my
full potential. Moreover, I feel that as a Masters student at your University, I can benefit
from the numerous challenging career opportunities.
