Guide Questions

Analyze the different elements of personal/physical classroom management and

answer the following questions?
1. How does the voice of the teacher affect classroom instruction?
 Voice is a very important asset for a teacher. If it is used well, the voice can capture
the student’s attention and initiate involvement with the teacher and subject matter.
A moderate loud and a clear/good voice of a teacher is one of the most important
elements of personal classroom management. In terms of classroom instructions, the
voice of the teacher should be clear and loud enough to be heard in the entire
classroom so that the entire learner’s must pay attention and listen attentively
during class discussion. Also, teacher must speak an authoritative way in order for
him/her to be respected by the learners.
2. How does the punctuality of the teacher affect classroom discipline?
 The punctuality and the behavior of the teacher reflect to the learners because if the
learners could see that their teachers are punctual then they will also try their best to
follow the behavior of the teacher. But if the teachers are always late and show
laziness in the classroom, then it will negatively affect the classroom discipline and
management.
3. Why do we need to check on the physical aspects of classroom management?
 We need to check on the physical aspects of the classroom management in order for
both the teacher and the learners to have a smooth flow of discussion and learning
activities. Having the best of these physical classroom elements in the learning
environment would ensure the safety and order of the class.
4. Analyze the checklist you have accomplished by the Resource Teacher? Did these
contribute to better classroom management? Explain your answer.
 Yes, because those strategies really addressed the students diverse needs.

Let’s Write a Journal

Journal Entry #7: Classroom Management and Discipline! Your entry should
contain your understanding and reflection on the given concept.
 I was interested in fully grasping the concept of classroom management. Starting
with the fundamental notion of a classroom as a location where instructors and
students congregate with the goal of learning was helpful. In a perfect world,
everyone involved is prepared to learn, has positive attitudes and behaviors, and is
present. The class is taught, the pupils learn the topic, and everything goes smoothly.
This goal, meanwhile, is not always realized. It addresses "the prevention of
disruptive conducts preemptively, as well as effectively responding to it after it
occurs, which is equally vital.
It is clear that as educators, our goal is to shape and manage students' behavior. We want to
respond effectively to poor behavior, which I see as halting it promptly, and we want to be
proactive in creating a pleasant classroom climate as much as possible. But what should we
do if a student's response occasionally worsens the circumstance? Taking away their leisure
time as well because they spoke a lot in class one day. Students will pick up lessons from
examples, which will change how they behave. While different behaviors will have different
positive and negative outcomes, implementing an intervention plan with troublesome
children can help them comprehend and gradually track progress. My cooperative teacher
removed fun activities and labs from the classroom because of how the students were
acting, and I have noticed that this had a positive effect on the students' behavior in
subsequent classes because the teacher follows through with what she says she will do if
they do not behave.
Self-Learning Activity

Reflect on the aspects of personal and classroom management.

1. What does this statement mean to you as a future teacher? Explain. “No amount of good
instruction will come out without effective classroom management.”
 If a teacher in a certain classroom doesn’t know how to effectively manage a
classroom, then he/she will also not able to formulate and give any good instruction
that sometimes leads to the future of the students to learn. As a teacher, we should
plan and evaluate our actions towards the learning of the students for us also to
achieve our set objectives. Effective classroom planned accordingly.
2. What are your plans in ensuring effective classroom management?
 In order for us to ensure the effective classroom management first, we should
possess all the qualities of being a good teacher and have attained all the personal
classroom management’s elements such as personal grooming, punctuality, and etc.
And also to ensure the physical classroom management such as good ventilation,
lighting, learning stations and so on. I would also like to listen to them because I
really want to build a healthy relationship with them. With that, I might encourage
them to study harder and focus on what really matters.
3. As a future teacher, reflect on the observations then answer the given questions.
What classroom management strategies di I need to employ to respond to diverse types
of learner?
 As a future teacher, the classroom management strategies that I need to employ to
respond to diverse types of learners are practicing the cultural sensitivity of learners
to avoid certain circumstances in the future and the other one is to give student’s a
freedom and flexibility for I believe that we are all intelligent in our own way that I
want them to find their own skills and abilities.

A. Check attendance regularly

A. Let them do what pleases them.

4.5. To discipline unruly students, Teacher Helen always tells her students “Remember I am
the person in authority her. I have the power to pass or fail you” DO you agree with Teacher
Helen’s reference to power?
A. We need more data to give a categorical answer
B. Yes, passing and failing are in the hands of a teacher
C. Yes, one may use the power given you to blackmail students
D. No, teacher authority is not meant to be used to pass or fail students

used by your Resource Teacher.

 The resource teacher starts with a prayer in the class, greetings and calling of
attendance to know if everyone is present and all good. The classroom design
also helps the students to be more interested to listen in the class.
