Update Etka 7 v2
You must connect a USB Key to your computer This USB key must be empty for more security.... In the USB Key (G:/) : Make a folder in this USB Key named update G:/update In the computer where is installed ETKA : Launch ETKA and go to the ini-editor Modify the source of the udpate Origine source : internet Modify to the server New source : G:/update Save and exit of ETKA The method function only if the 4 folders exist
You must have the file WinUpd.exe into the folder C:\Tecar Forum\ETKA\PROGRAM If this file not exist copy this file of C:\Tecar Forum\ETKA\Tecar INFO\AUDI\Update\INI Files\prog for example or :\Tecar Forum\ETKA\Tecar INFO\Seat\Update\INI Files\prog Notes : There are two type of update.... Update like this is the first type :

For the example we are using the Update Audi 788 : eupdau788D.exe (first type) 1 : copy the update eupdau788D.exe into G:/update 2 : change the file eupdau788D.exe into eupdau788T.exe 3 : clic on the file G:/update/eupdau788T.exe and the process file beginning 4 : type the password archive file (may be avaf) 5 : choose the language update German or english 6 : the archive file is decompressing on G:/ 7 : under G:/ there is a file name upd788D.log to rename into upd788T.log 8 : copy the file eupdau788T.exe into the folder C:\Tecar Forum\ETKA\Tecar INFO\AUDI\Update 9 : in ETKA 7v2 click on the button update and a message update find appears 10 : click Yes to update and the update beginning. 11 : type the password archive file (may be avaf) 12 : Copy the file upd788T.log into C:\Tecar Forum\ETKA\Tecar INFO\AUDI\Update\temp only has this step and not before (in this case it may erase !!!)
13 : return in the process archive and chose the language update German or english 14 : when the archive file is decompressed the update is going on 15 : after few minutes ETKA say update ok.
For the update of the second type you must do this You must create the folder of update in your computer c:/ETKA like this....
After you must copy : the folder prog of c:\tecar forum\ETKA\Tecar INFO\AUDI\Update\INI Files in the folder c:/ETKA the files ETKA_AU.INI and ETKA_User_au.ini of c:\tecar forum\ETKA\Tecar INFO\AUDI\Update\INI Files in the folder c:/ETKA/prog (It's for update AUDI. For the other brand you must copy the files and folder of the brand you want update into c:/ETKA and c:/ETKA/prog)
1 : copy the update eupdau789D.exe into G:/update 2 : change the file eupdau789D.exe into eupdau789T.exe 3 : clic on the file G:/update/eupdau789T.exe and the process file beginning
4 : the archive file is decompressing on G:/ 5: go into the folder and there is a file name upd789D.log to rename into upd789T.log
6 : copy the file eupdau789T.exe into the folder C:\Tecar Forum\ETKA\Tecar INFO\AUDI\Update 7 : in ETKA 7v2 click on the button update and a message update find appears 8 : click Yes to update and the update beginning.quickly you must stop the archive decompress !!
9 : copy now the file upd789T.log into C:\Tecar Forum\ETKA\Tecar INFO\AUDI\Update\temp only has this step and not before (in this case it may erase !!!) 10 : in ETKA continue to decompress the update (click on...) 11 : when the archive file is decompressed the update is going on
12 : after few minutes ETKA say update ok.
You must do this for all the update in each brand of car (Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen)
