SECTION 1 - ROAD SHOULDER

Notes :
1. This is a Typical Drawing and similar comment to
all the drawing.
NOTES :
1. The specification of temporary traffic sign and control device shall be in accordance with 'Arahan Teknik (Jalan) 2C/85 (Pindaan 2017)
JKR MALAYSIA. The number of devices are depends on the actual length of the work area.
2. Distance and spacing of devices at maximum placing of 6 meters.

3. Traffic shall continue to use the existing road during this Traffic Management scheme.
4. During work operation, if construction vehicles require to encroach the road, the Flagman will be stationed to warn and assist The Traffic.
5. Blinkers shall be installed every 30m c/c at straight and 10m c/c at taper or curve.
6. Flood light/spot light, flashing arrow and delineator's string at all approaches to and along the working area shall be used during
night time.
7. During day flagman must be use flag (red & green), baton light will be use at night.
8. All signs must be reflectorized (fluorescent orange). The distance or interval between signages or traffic management equipment may varies
depending on actual site condition.
9. The temporary road marking should be yellow. The road marking of paint shall be used for temporary road markings less than 30 days
construction period and for temporary work zone more than 30 days, thermoplastic material should be used.
10. Plastic barriers should be continuous along the work area and must be interlocked and filled with water or sand.
11. Wherever applicable traffic barrier maybe replaced with traffic cones for work of duration less than one day subject to the prior
approval.Traffic guidance cones shall be installed every 15 meters c/c at straight and 10m c/c at cuve,
12. All workers must wear the safety vest.
13. For stop and go closure, flagman must be use whistle or walkie talkie for communication.
14. All the risk and compliance of TMP are under the responsibility of the contractor.
