COLOUR WEEK REPORT
Colour is all around us. Wherever we look we see colours. Our
Nature itself is decorated with a variety of colours. Without colours,
everything in this world is dark and gloomy.Color makes things
look beautiful and happening. Color is the reason why the world is
such a beautiful place. Colors are held in different perspectives.
They signify different things and they have different purposes. They
are very important in our lives as they direct and influence our well
being and mood. They are a vital element of the lives of all the
individuals.
In Little flower English School also we tried to colour the lives of
our tiny tots through the celebration of a colour week from 30-04-
2017 to 04-05-2017. Children were really enjoyed all these days
through a lot of activities. Each day was planned to be celebrated by
attributing one particular colour. So we selected different colours
for each day like, red, blue, green, yellow, and black & white.
RED COLOUR DAY:
Red is the vital colour of activity, heat and struggle of passionate life.
On the first day of Colour Week Celebration ie,30th April 2017, the
little ones were appeared to be colourful in their red costumes. They
were busy with the activity of decorating letter a cut outs with red
colour papers and the wonderful “Show and Tell” with red coloured
objects. They also were excited to have fun with red colour paints. The
day would be a memorable one in their lives.
BLUE COLOUR DAY:
Blue is a basic colour. In Nature it is widespread in the azure sky,
which is reflected in the water also. The Blue colour day was
celebrated on 01-05-2017. On this day all children were shining with
various shades of blue outfit. The special assembly also was
highlighted for its focus on colours. They enjoyed the activity of
decorating whales with blue colour papers .Fun with blue paint also
enthralled them. The day really helped them to identify colour blue in
their lives.
GREEN COLOUR DAY:
Colour Green is associated with meaning of growth, harmony, safety
and environment. It is the colour of health. During the colour week,
we celebrated green colour day on 2nd May, Tuesday. The decoration
of leaves cutouts with different shades of green colour paper and the
scribbling activity with green paint were really interesting; all children
were seen too much excited in their colourful green costumes.Anyhow
the masterpiece attraction was the celebration of green salad which
was conducted by the presentation of green fruits and vegetables
brought by kids.
YELLOW COLOUR DAY:
The colour Yellow seems to be the colour of sun, light and optimism
which stimulates, activates and frees from fear. It symbolizes the
creativity and wisdom. The Yellow colour day was celebrated on 3rd
May 2017. All children were in yellow outfit and they engaged
themselves in an activity of making school buses with yellow colour
papers. The scribbling activity using yellow paint also made the day
colourful. The day was actually an informative one.
BLACK AND WHITE COLOUR DAY
White is the presence of all colors and is therefore a color. Black is
not; without light everything is black. White is considered safe and
open.Black’s most common association is power, authority and
strength. We celebrated the Black&White colour day on 4th May
2017.All children enjoyed the day through the creation of Panda
with black and white colour paper cut outs.
ART WORKSHOP,COLOUING COMPETITION AND
EXPERIMENT.
Our celebration turned into a creative moment when we conducted
the colouring competition for all kids.It was a rare chance for them
where they can express their artistic skills through colouring. At the
same time we tried to make children familiar with the importance of
Joy of Giving through the Art Workshop.Children were engaged to
trace their hands on the chart paper which was decorated with the
paint scribbling of our little ones. Later their traced hands turned
into the formation of the symbol of Joy of Giving.Through this
activity they came to know about the importance of sacrificing or
presenting some valuable things for the sake of others and its
happiness.
During this event, children were also enriched with the outstanding
and informative experiment of colours. The experiment was really
conducted in a fruitful manner and to some extend it shades the
light of knowledge about colours.
