Validity and Reliabilty
Stanford-Binet Intelligence Test
Stanford-Binet Intelligence Test is effective with different
groups. The numerous high-end items made it effective to
measure a child's giftedness, and low-end items make it
appropriate for lower-functioning individuals. It can be done
through hand or computer scoring, depending on the
availability of resources. Items are verified as fair and
unbiased with regard to gender, ethnicity, culture, religion,
region, and socioeconomic status.
Validity and Reliabilty
Stanford-Binet Intelligence Test
Stanford-Binet test is one of the most reliable standardized
tests widely used. The said test has proved precise results
when it comes to the identification of gifted individuals or
those who get high scores. It was also criticized by some
experts due to its insensitivity. But despite a series of revisions
throughout the century-long history, it still manages to give
reliable results.
Purpose of the Test

• Both verbal and nonverbal responses are measured.
• It can aid in the diagnosis of learning disabilities and
developmental delay in children, adolescents, and adults by
determining their level of intellectual and cognitive
functioning.
