YARN
- Each pocket uses a few grammes of DK
weight yarn (double knitting or light
worsted weight) in Brown and Cream.
- The sample photographed was knitted in
Paintbox Yarns Simply DK, a 100% acrylic
yarn, in shades Soft Fudge and Champagne
White.
- This yarn or similar DK yarns are
recommended for this pattern.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
- A pair of 3.5mm (US 4) single pointed
needles, minimum length 20cm
- A darning or tapestry needle for seaming
- A 3.5mm crochet hook (US E/4)

Rows 24 to 45: Starting on a RS knit row, work 22
rows in stockinette.
Cast off all sts.
DOOR & WINDOW
Make 2 (1 door and 1 window). Cast on 2 sts in
Cream yarn on single pointed 3.5mm needles.
⇨ NOTE: The door and window are made from 2
stitch “i-cord” icing which is sewn onto the house.
Unlike regular i-cord which is worked on two DPNs,
this 2 stitch “i-cord” is worked on two single
pointed needles.

On one house piece, sew on your door, catching a

need to be too precise with the layout as this

Sew the 2 ends of the window “i-cord” together,
then sew onto the house in a rectangle shape.
Embroider the window panes inside the frame in
Cream yarn using long stitches in a cross shape in
the middle of the window.
Sew on the heart shaped button for the door
handle, and a ribbon bow on the roof.
